As a GIS Technician, you will play a crucial role in collecting, organizing, and maintaining geospatial and technical data. What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with an innovative team of analysts, data scientists, data engineers and software developers on a variety of projects.
- Gather, analyze, interpret and QC technical and geospatial data.
- Create and maintain a high level of data and project standardization, ensuring scalability.
Who You Are
- You have 1+ years of progressive GIS experience including gathering, organizing, and digitizing geospatial data.
- You have experience with desktop GIS software such as QGIS, ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro.
- You have completed the academic portion (if applicable) or graduated from a post-secondary GIS program or equivalent.
- You are comfortable manipulating, creating, organizing and analyzing large-scale linear geospatial data.
- You have a strong attention to detail and have developed QC/QA procedures to ensure data accuracy & validity across various sources.
- You have basic understanding about the electric infrastructures and are comfortable working with infrastructure geospatial data in the North America.
- Programming, database and software skills in Excel, Python, SQL are considered an asset.
- You have demonstrable passion in the energy transition.
