Your missions

 

Seeking candidate for a Contract Surety Home Office Underwriting Manager position. Interested persons should be prepared to exercise strong leadership, mentoring and underwriting skills in the advancement of the Swiss Re Corso Contract Surety operation.

 

About the Role:

  • Oversee the underwriting of assigned branches
  • Assist assigned branches in growing the book of business with good credit-quality business
  • Mentor / coach branch personnel
  • Meet with the largest and most successful contractors in the portfolio
  • Special projects
  • Flexible work location

 

While this is posted to many of our Swiss Re locations, we can potentially consider other office locations for a qualified candidate. Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office two to three days per week on average. 

 

About the Team:

The Contract Surety Home Office team consists of a small group of strong, friendly professionals dedicated to applying their skills to advance the Contract Surety operation through sustainable growth in the book of business and mentoring of personnel. 

 

About You:

Interested candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills, be detail-oriented, and exhibit strong competency in quantitative / financial analysis.  Desired achievements include:

 

  • Bachelor's degree with preferred emphasis in business, finance or accounting
  • 5+ years Contract Surety experience
  • Ability to underwrite Contract Surety accounts with programs greater than $25 million.

 

Modest travel ability preferred.
