Seeking an Epic Certified HIM Analyst/Builder. Needs to be a self-starter and have the ability to hit the ground running. Will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, analyzing and recommending changes in support of assigned applications/systems including ongoing production maintenance and trouble-shooting. Supports the planning, design, development, build and/or configuration of assigned applications/systems. Leads and/or coordinates conversions, application/system testing and documentation of system procedures. Participates and provides input in training design and development and assists in training execution in relation to assigned projects. Provides go live support and serves as primary point of contact for ongoing maintenance/support and trouble-shooting.

Role Description

  • Under the direction of the Epic Manager or designee, carry out various duties in support of business systems and end users including but not limited to: perform analysis of workflow; assessment of system needs and requirements; plan, design, and test systems and interfaces; coordinate work efforts with applicable MIS and organizational personnel; train end-users as needed; document and troubleshoot work involved in systems implementation and maintenance; and act as liaison to all end users
  • Participate in all phases of the Epic system development life cycle
  • Provide product function, design, build, and testing expertise for Epic HIM Applications
  • Collaborate with end users to design, build and optimize their Epic system in a timely and high-quality manner
  • Create documentation of business requirements, current and future state workflows
  • Ensure appropriate follow-up questions, and workflows/configuration clarifications are completed and documented
  • Coordinate all testing phases of associated applications during implementations and upgrades
  • Design, build, and configure within assigned Epic system modules and any supporting third- party applications
  • Develop and maintain system process documentation and outlines process steps using appropriate tools
  • Communicate with stakeholders from initial requirements to final implementation
  • Review, analyze, and evaluate system needs to develop recommendations for customers
  • Adhere to client standards for system configuration and change control
  • Troubleshoot and/or resolve application issues and escalate more complex issues as appropriate
  • On-call rotation required

Qualifications

  • Required Epic Certifications: HIM Release of Information, HIM Deficiency Tracking, HIM Hospital Coding, Identity
  • Must have experience with OnBase and RightFax Admin
  • 3M Encompass Admin/software installation experience highly preferred
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent knowledge and experience required
  • Experience supporting Epic and/or other healthcare information systems required
  • Technical/programming experience preferred
  • Experience in application build and go-live, along with extensive experience in implementation, workflows, troubleshooting, testing, and support
  • Demonstrative understanding of technical documentation
  • Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
