Job Description

Resideo is seeking a National Account Manager who will be responsible for developing long-term relationships and managing nationwide distribution partnerships.

As a critical member of the team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth of Resideo products through assigned Key Account(s). Profit is driven through the sales of integrated product solutions in heating and cooling processes, ventilation, cooling and refrigeration, air purification, zoning, humidification, air conditioning, water controls and processes, electrical devices and systems, lighting control, switches, sensors, and controllers.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Create and execute annual sales plan for your assigned account(s) leveraging internal Resideo resources to maximize sales growth. Manage and plan account activity with quarterly business reviews.
  • Achieve annual sales targets.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships, growth strategies, roadmaps, and competitive analyses of assigned accounts.
  • Effectively work in cross functional environment with Sales Director, Key Account Sales Leadership, Channel Marketing, Regional Sales Leaders, Product Management teams and external channel partners to develop and articulate new growth strategies.
  • Develop effective Sales and Marketing programs and tools specific to your assigned accounts.
  • Manage customer marketing funds to support key strategic initiatives.
  • Communicate all account product requirements and work with the marketing channel to develop account specific marketing and product strategies.
  • Utilize CRM tools to update management and sales reps of progress and opportunities.
  • Manage and negotiate contracts with customers.
  • Provide product training to distributor reps and HVAC contractors.
  • Coordinate with other team members to maximize sales coverage of key markets.
  • Participate in relevant industry trade shows and/or specialized training seminars.
  • Hosting open houses to showcase Resideo products (First Alert/Honeywell Home) to contractors.
  • Responsible for maintaining current business and managing growth.
  • Responsible for training contractors and distributor on product value.
  • Responsible for working and developing the distribution base to grow the business.

TRAVEL: Up to 50-75% US travel

MUST HAVES:

  • 7+ years of direct sales experience.
  • 7+ years of professional experience using Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) and/or CRM systems (Ex: Salesforce).

WE VALUE:

  • HVAC sales or technician experience.
  • Outside/external customer sales experience (working with new and existing accounts).
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Demonstrated experience in creating and executing successful client relationships and territory plans.
  • Demonstrated track record of driving results and sales growth.
  • Influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Bi-lingual Spanish and English-speaking skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively in a matrix-team environment.
  • A diplomatic approach to conflict resolution.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience selling in contracting environment.
  • Proven working relationship building skills.
  • The ability to think analytically and use sound judgment when making decisions.

  • The typical base salary for this role ranges from USD $87,600 - $152,400 per year but varies by specific work location. For example, the base salary for this role in Melville, NY is $100,740 to $175,260 per year and New York, NY it is $105,120 to $182,880. Resideo determines base pay for an individual based on various factors, including market conditions, skills, and experience.
  • You are eligible to participate in a Sales Incentive Plan (SIP). This incentive is considered variable incentive pay. You can earn an annual sales incentive which is expressed as a percentage (60%) of your annual salary. This amount will be prorated based on your hire date. Attaining your sales targets will allow you to achieve 100% of your variable incentive pay. However, overdriving those targets will enable you to increase your variable incentive pay for the SIP performance period.
