Zebra is a world leader in the development and manufacturing of time-temperature indicators to the healthcare industry. This technology visually alerts users if medical and biological products and shipments have experienced a temperature deviation. The world’s largest health organizations and life science manufacturers use Temptime’s products to ensure that potentially damaging temperature events to their medical products and supplies can be identified.

Other vertical markets including retail, transportation and logistics, public safety, and manufacturing, equally benefit from the unique asset monitoring and quality alert capabilities of environmentally-sensing technologies to identify the potential for degradation in sensitive products throughout the supply chain.

The Senior Strategic Business Development member supports the development of strategic market/product line business plans and marketing programs to assist sales in designated market segments, specifically food manufacturing, distribution and sale. I dentifies volume and strategic customers and develops partnerships. Analyzes market data to identify trends/opportunities, executes strategic direction as set by leadership, and creates compelling market analysis presentations.

This remote role can be based anywhere in the US, with a preference for talent to reside in either the western or central region. ~ 25% + travel to be expected.

Please note this role is compensated on a base + bonus structure and is not incentivized with variable commission.

Responsibilities:

  • Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced solution selling professional with a full understanding of perishable product industry practices and cold chain work flows to develop a solid understanding of product mix, pricing strategy, key applications, and vertical segments.
  • Works closely with BU, product management and leadership to define product roadmap and evolution strategy that meets the technological, price, feature, and timing requirements
  • Provide support and engages key strategic accounts within the region/countries within 90 days of hire
  • Provide leadership in the sales strategies, product strategy, solution, promotion programs, pricing for a variety of projects
  • Drive monthly deals review of regional field teams with BU for the necessary support
  • May lead projects and represent the function at meetings
  • Supports and may own product communications (including, but not limited to):
  • Work is collaborative in nature and regularly engages with senior level internal and external stakeholders. Partners with regional sales teams to understand market requirements
  • Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments. Provides regular updates to manager on project/work status.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • 5 + years of experience in business development or sales.
  • Must have experience with environmental sensors, food cold-chain and/or knowledge of food manufacturing, distribution and associated regulations. **Please ensure resumes submitted clearly showcase this experience**
  • Must be located in the US, near a major airport, with the ability to travel nationally (~ 25% or as business dictates). Strong preference to hire within either the central or western region.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual in English & Spanish
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex information (scientific and technical journal articles, financial reports and legal documents)
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups and/or boards of directors.
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively orally and in written form at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
  • Experience with a CRM software program

Salary: USD 92700.00 - USD 139100.00 Yearly

Salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.

Additionally, all Zebra roles are eligible for cash incentive programs. For example, sales roles have additional opportunity to earn substantial variable compensation tied to quota achievement.
