Core10 is seeking a skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team.

Requirements

What you'll do:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using AWS services such as Glue, Redshift, RDS, and S3.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into robust data solutions.
  • Optimize and manage ETL processes to ensure data is available for analytics in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve data pipelines for performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Develop and maintain data models in Redshift to support various business reporting needs.
  • Implement data quality checks and ensure compliance with data governance standards.
  • Manage and optimize AWS infrastructure, ensuring cost-effective use of resources and best practices in security.
  • Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams to automate data pipeline deployments and integrate with CI/CD processes.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 5+ years' experience as a Data Engineer with expertise in AWS services such as Glue, Redshift, RDS, and S3.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with data modeling, schema design, and query optimization.
  • Experience with ETL tools and processes, particularly in AWS Glue.
  • Hands-on experience with data warehousing concepts and tools, especially Redshift.
  • Knowledge of Python, Spark, or other programming languages used for data processing.
  • Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and data security best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with other AWS services like Lambda, EMR, or Athena.
  • Knowledge of big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and practices in the context of data engineering.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as QuickSight, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with Node Engineering
  • Certifications (optional but beneficial): AWS Certified Data Analytics, Specialty AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Associate or Professional AWS Certified Developer
  • Previous experience in the finance or banking industry.
  • Contributions to open-source data engineering projects.
