What we’re looking for
As a Data Analyst II at Vacasa, you will play a critical role in leveraging data to drive business insights, improve operational efficiency, and enhance the overall guest and/or owner experience. Analysts at Vacasa collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including, but not limited to Operations, Marketing, Product, and Finance to extract, analyze, and interpret data from various sources.
This position in 100% remote. Ability to work from home and resides in one of the followings states: AK, AL, AZ, CA, CO, DE, FL, GA, HI, ID, IL, IN, LA, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MT, NC, NH, NJ, NM, NV, OH, OK, OR, PA, RI, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WA, WI, or WY
What you'll do
- Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform strategic decision-making and operational improvements.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to effectively communicate key performance metrics and actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis to support business inquiries, such as cost/revenue optimization, market segmentation, and customer behavior analysis.
- Collaborate with internal data & product teams to identify opportunities for process optimization and automation through data-driven solutions.
- Work closely with the Data Products team to enhance data infrastructure, ensure data integrity, and streamline data collection and reporting processes.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data analytics and apply them to drive continuous improvement within the organization.
- Provide experience and guidance to junior members of the data analytics team, fostering a culture of collaboration, learning, and innovation.
Skills you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in the hospitality, e-commerce, or related industry.
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis. Experience with Snowflake a bonus
- Experience with data visualization programs such as Tableau, Looker, PowerBI (Vacasa primarily uses Tableau)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for continuous learning and professional development.
Compensation:
- $90000 / year. Actual pay will vary based on a candidate's skill, experience, education and/or location.
