Job description

We need a new PPC specialist! This is a remote (work from home) position.

In this fully-remote role, you will own the day-to-day management, strategic development and optimization of multiple paid search, paid social, and display campaigns across a portfolio of 10-15 clients. Additionally, you will be responsible for communicating with our internal team, keeping them informed of their accounts’ performance, and providing them with recommendations to continue growing and improving their digital advertising efforts. This role reports directly into our Head of Client Strategy.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Own all PPC execution in the advertising platforms (namely Google Ads, Microsoft Ads & Google Local Service Ads). This entails planning and managing campaign performance, account setup, strategy development, management, budget allocation, optimization and audits across major PPC engines.
  • Manage all client recurring deliverables/projects and ad hoc requests using project management software (Click-Up/Asana)
  • Identify and recommend new lead/revenue/conversion opportunities for your respective clients (and present/proceed with the ideas that have the highest probability of success)
  • Provide recommendations to the team to ensure all PPC platforms are using best practices & meet our required standards
  • Deliver monthly reporting findings, insights and recommendations/next steps to each internal team member via monthly Loom video deliverable
  • Demonstrate resourcefulness and the initiative to lead advanced projects
  • Forecast, plan, and work towards achieving account growth objectives
  • Stay up to date with the digital advertising industry, including best practice  updates, changes, and industry trends
The ideal candidate:
  • Google Ads / Paid Search: You are expected to successfully create, manage and optimize Google Ads campaigns (search, video, display, pMax, local services ads, etc.) that exceed our clients’ goals. Deep experience and expertise with Google Ads is therefore required. Strong experience with managing Google Ads campaigns for lawyers and/or lead generation businesses is preferred. We want you to be the most knowledgeable Google Ads specialist at our company - someone that is constantly educating themselves on the latest Google Ads best practices and learning new tricks and hacks to make our clients more money on Google Ads.
  • Marketing Strategy: Your job is to learn about the client’s business and understand what their goals are, why their goals are what they are, what problems they solve, who they solve for, etc. And then, guide the client towards strategies that help their ad campaigns become as profitable as possible. If this means they need to change their website, it’s up to you to realize this and recommend it to them. If this means their obsession with getting a low click-through-rate is hurting them because the quality of their website traffic is dropping (and consequently their conversion rates) it’s up to you to educate them on a better metric to base their campaign success off of. In short, we expect you to not just be a glorified PPC technician that presses buttons in the Google Ads interface every day - you also need to be a marketing strategist that can make impactful recommendations to help our clients grow.
  • Analytical Skills: You’re not afraid of data, spreadsheets and analysis. In fact, you love proactively digging into the numbers to inform strategic decisions and find new ways to save money or make money for our clients. This means you know where to find and pull the data, you know how to turn the data into meaningful insights (via Excel or Google Sheet functions such as pivot tables or VLOOKUP), and you turn those insights into actions and recommendations.
  • Problem Solving: The cardinal sin at our company is asking someone a question you could have solved yourself. We need people who are willing to “figure it out” and don’t mind rolling up their sleeves. That doesn’t mean we aren’t here to support you: we are! But only when you encounter a problem that you truly can’t solve. You’re expected to bring more to the table than expected and hurdle problems, not allow them to get in your way.
