The role:

As a Principal Cloud Security Architect, you will play a pivotal role in architecting, securing, and optimizing our cloud infrastructure and applications. This multifaceted position requires a blend of expertise in Azure cloud architecture, cloud security, database architecture, and a profound understanding of SOC 2/HITRUST security standards. You will lead the charge in transitioning our current monolithic system to a high-availability, multi-region deployment in Azure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.

What you will do:

  • Design and implement Azure cloud architecture to support scalable, secure, and resilient applications
  • Work with Engineering to to transition the current monolithic architecture to a microservices based architecture, ensuring high availability and multi region deployment
  • Develop and enforce cloud security policies and procedures in line with SOC2/HITRUST standards
  • Conduct threat modeling, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate security risks
  • Architect and optimize database solutions for performance and scalability.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to integrate security practices into the development lifecycle
  • Stay abreast of the latest cloud and security technologies and trends to drive innovation and efficiency
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning


You are a good fit if you have:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 15+ years of experience in cloud architecture and security, with a strong focus on Azure
  • Proven experience in database architecture and optimization
  • Deep understanding of SOC 2 and/or HITRUST security standards and compliance requirements
  • Expertise in building threat models, conducting penetration tests, and implementing security measures
  • Experience in transitioning monolithic systems to microservices architecture
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • A passion for healthcare technology and a drive to make a difference


This is a hybrid position. At once week per you may be expected to work from our shared workspaces in Short Hills, NJ; Manhattan, New York; Boston, MA; or Manchester, NH. When not in the shared workspaces, you’ll work from home.

Hybrid position requirements:

  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must be willing to travel locally within the communities we serve
  • Must have internet service with minimum upload/download ability
  • Company will provide equipment (laptop, monitor, keyboard, mouse and headset) plus a remote work stipend
  • Must have a quiet space to speak to members with minimal background noise
  • Must understand the importance of protected health information and ensure any data/information is not visible to others


This is a full-time, exempt position. The starting salary range for this position is $148,000 - $172,000 annually + equity + benefits. The final compensation package is influenced by various factors such as experience, education, degrees earned, market data, and business requirements.
