The Global Digital Hub has newly been established within Roche Services & Solutions Center. Our main purpose is to strengthen the digital capabilities of Roche globally by supporting central initiatives with Social Media Management, Brand Support, Digital Publishing Services, Marketing Automation, Copywriting and Creative Design.

Your Opportunity:

As a member of the Global Digital Hub Team, you will work to ensure fulfillment of the Global Digital Hub long term outcomes and strategy as well as excellent delivery of priorities. You will inspire and engage the subchapter members to collaborate across the network and exponentially contribute towards Roche’s Ten Year Ambitions. You will also be accountable for driving the embedding of the new operating model and will role model agile collaboration.

The Subchapter lead will contribute to shaping the future of the Global Digital Hub by developing cutting-edge digital capabilities and supporting the development of colleagues across the organization. This challenging position will create unique opportunities to further grow, learn new leadership and functional skills, and deepen the understanding of the different digital capabilities such as Social Media Management, Website Management, Creative Design, Digital Campaign Management, Marketing Automation & Digital Operations.

The Subchapter Lead has responsibility for supporting the strategic vision and direction of the chapter and continuously seeks opportunities for innovation and value creation. This critical position has a global scope, leading a diverse team across the world. In this position you will be focusing on:

  • Leading and coordinating the operation of the Creative Design Subchapter, ensuring the high effectiveness of assigned design activities and enabling successful execution of design projects within the Global Digital Hub,

  • Finding, attracting new talents, onboarding and developing team members by providing coaching and support, enabling them to execute design projects successfully and continuously improve their skills,

  • Driving the embedding of the new operating model, serving as a role model for agile collaboration within the Design Subchapter,

  • Effectively managing design resources, monitor their utilization, and ensure customer satisfaction within the subchapter,

  • Building relationships, aligning on strategic design priorities with other Subchapter Leads and collaborating effectively with different chapters, subchapters, and other relevant teams to drive impactful design solutions and align with business and Global Digital Hub strategies,

  • Professionally representing the Creative Design Subchapter with key stakeholders, promoting the value and impact of design within the organisations.

What can you bring to our team:

  • You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Visual Communication, or a related field and 7+ years of experience working in design roles, preferably within large organisations, agencies, or startups.

  • You have 3+ years of experience in people development, coaching, and leadership, specifically within a design context.

  • You have strong interpersonal and communication skills and you are fluent in English (additional languages are a plus).

  • You are dynamic and flexible in adapting to different design software and workflows and you have end-to-end accountability, including a deep understanding of the design process, impact, and the ability to engage others to ensure successful design outcomes and projects.

  • You have a demonstrated growth mindset, including a willingness to take risks, experiment, seek new learning opportunities, and provide and receive feedback within the context of design.

  • You have proficiency in project and change management, particularly within a design context.
