We are looking for a Business Development Manager to be report to our Gettysburg, PA. facility.
Position Summary
Qualastat is looking for a Business Development Manager to join our team. In this role, you will support and expand our business in the US, focusing on Military and Aerospace & Defense (A&D) tier 1 customers. Your responsibilities will encompass all aspects of business development, including generating revenue through new opportunities within our existing customer base and developing new accounts. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of successful experience selling electrical components, systems, and/or assemblies in various industries (e.g., A&D, Industrial).
The Business Development Manager must have a strong professional network and active relationships within Aerospace & Defense (A&D) tier 1 customers.. He or she must also have a demonstrated record of developing strategic accounts, market development plans, and executing to achieve revenue and profit goals.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets in assigned territories or markets.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their technical requirements and business objectives.
- Provide technical expertise and support to customers, guiding them in the selection of appropriate interconnect products and solutions.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities, providing feedback to the management team.
- Prepare and deliver technical proposals, quotations, and support contract negotiations as necessary.
- Driving revenue growth in emerging or underpenetrated market segments, application areas, channel partnerships, or geographies.
- Ability to effectively work with cross-functional teams and across multiple locations.
- Responsible to establish a strong branding position and revenue base in scope of work over a defined period.
- Develops high level relationships with strategically impactful customers to grow Qualastat’s market share.
- Solicit, validate, and communicate information related to market opportunity sizing, application information, product fit insight, development needs, resource recommendations, and technology/business trends to management and cross-functionally.
- Develop and present regular revenue forecasting for scope of work (monthly, quarterly, annually).
- Collaborate internally to develop pricing strategies (price book management), contracts/agreements, and business analytics.
- Be accountable for the health and development of the new business opportunity pipeline for area of work.
- Attend and support trade shows, industry conferences, technical symposiums etc. as needed to develop and maintain market knowledge and generate leads.
- Ability to travel 60-80% of time

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Industrial Distribution.
- 5+ years of experience in industrial sales selling high value products to end users and OEMs within aerospace (defense experience preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, PowerBI) and CRM systems.
- Experience building relationships with customers (purchasing and engineering).
- Willingness to "roll up sleeves" to perform at all levels and assist in areas outside of core responsibilities.
- Strong written, oral, and presentation communications skills.
- A self-starter who is detail-oriented and possesses an entrepreneurial spirit
Other Qualifications
- This role does require travel.
Pay Range: $105,000 - $135,000 annually. This position also offers a competitive incentive plan.
