About the Role

As the Director of Sales Training and Practice Education, you will be responsible for the development of sales training and practice education programs to drive the launch and commercialization of the CellFX system and its utilization. You will have general responsibilities for all aspects of training programs and resources that are necessary for the sales organization, the corporate team, and CellFX customers to effectively increase procedural growth. This includes but is not limited to, Controlled Launch execution, sales training program development, customer education/training, patient education/marketing, certification development, with a strong collaboration with the marketing and sales teams and a high level of communication with the corporate team.

 

You will make an impact by:

  • Developing and maintaining an effective internal and external comprehensive training program for new product launches aligned with business objectives.
  • Proactively collaborating with the commercialization team to identify training needs and gaps for field teams. 
  • Utilizing  instructional design principles to create engaging and effective learning experiences. 
  • Developing training materials, modules, and resources including presentations, e-learning courses, and hands-on workshops.
  • Conducting role-playing exercises, simulations and assessments to reinforce learning and improve sales techniques.
  • Collaborating with product management and marketing teams to ensure alignment of training materials with product positioning and messaging.
  • Partnering with sales to develop programs and strategies, including seminars, collateral, webinars, and tools that drive awareness and support the acquisition of new physicians accounts.
  • Providing strategic input to drive new campaign and material development that will increase awareness and understanding of brand’s value proposition.
  • Supporting the development of tools and materials to support sales and sales training efforts.
  • Driving device adoption and usage through development of programs and strategies designed to help physicians optimize commercial processes and practice marketing efforts.
  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key physician accounts, KOL’s, to continually optimize training for both sales team and customers.
  • Supporting the creation of critical practices and patient education documents and tools for managing expectations, assessing patient and practice satisfaction and a best practice approach for patient consultations to enhance conversions.
  • Creating a comprehensive and formalized Practice Education Guide, resources and training to serve as the Pulse Biosciences blueprint for installation and successful launch of new customers.
  • Providing education and guidance for the web-based CellFX Cloud Connect practice management portal program.
  • Educating the customers regarding the indications, contraindications, and safety of Pulse Biosciences products, and how they fulfill the needs of the customers.
  • Establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of sales training initiatives.
  • Participating in industry-related trade shows/meetings. Maintaining updated knowledge of the industry and competitive products.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

 

To be successful, you will bring: 

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.), or equivalent experience. 
  • Proven experience in sales training, preferably in the life science industry. 
  • 8+ years of sales management experience or training experience. Preference for direct customer experience with surgical and minimally invasive surgery products across multiple indications.
  • Instructional design experience related to building out sales training workshops.
  • Demonstrated ability to design, develop, and deliver effective sales training programs. 
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Proficiency in instructional design principles and learning management systems. 
  • Proficiency  knowledge and skill in Microsoft Office Suite applications and SalesForce.com. 
  • A strong work ethic and represent Pulse Biosciences with high integrity, ethics, honesty, loyalty, and professionalism at all times. 
  • Ability to make effective and persuasive communications and technical presentations to physicians, management and/or large groups. 
  • Ability to thoroughly understand and communicate the attributes and qualities of Company products using professional selling and closing skills. 
  • Ability to work conscientiously and with minimal direction, using good judgment, taking initiative to accomplish short and long-range projects, and recommend actions with minimal direction.
  • Ability to work as a team member, multi-task and be very flexible to adapt to the ever-changing work priorities and requirements of a dynamic, fast growing company.
  • Home office capability is required with reliable high-speed internet access. 
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time. Overnight and/or international travel may be required. 
  • Ability to lift 10-15 pounds.
