Overview

The Sales Account Manager – Pharmaceuticals will be responsible for cultivating productive and mutually beneficial relationships with customers in the Life Science market with a particular focus on the pharmaceuticals industry.  Leveraging their expertise in excipients, APIs, other high purity specialty ingredients, as well as comprehensive industry knowledge will allow the Sales Account Manager to position LBB Specialties as a trusted partner and problem-solver for both new and existing customers.

Responsibilities

  1. Develop long-term, productive relationships with current customers by understanding their business needs and seeking to address their challenges. 
  2. Leverage market knowledge to seek opportunities for new business development in both the formulation stages as well as already commercialized products.  
  3. Actively Identify, prioritize, nurture and develop potential sales and ensure they are well documented in the CRM through call reports and pipeline entry.
  4. Establish (and follow) a rigorous process for following up on new leads, pursuing new lines of inquiry, etc.
  5. Understand market trends and competitive environment within the target market segments.
  6. Provide market and customer feedback to all internal stakeholders.
  7. Be an active member of the Life Sciences Vertical focusing on top principals and sub-vertical products that are key for our long-term growth.
Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Technical Bachelor’s degree required (preferably Life Science, Chemistry, or related), or equivalent technical experience.
  • Minimum five years’ sales experience in Life Sciences customer facing roles.  Pharmaceutical knowledge a plus.
  • Proven sales track record in sales management and leadership.

Knowledge and Skills

  • General knowledge of consumer and marketplace trends.
  • Generate leads with “hunter” mentality.
  • Familiarity with key customer contacts and/or relationships with suppliers is desired.
  • Excellent computer skills including (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, ERPs).
