AS533 - Housekeeper/Nanny - Upper East Side

Overview:

• Household cleaning, including deep cleaning, tidying, and sanitizing
• Family laundry- clothing and linens 
• Family cooking- preparing dinner several times per week and cleaning up afterwards
• Disposing of trash, opening boxes and deliveries and breaking down boxes for service area
• Making beds and changing linens for bedrooms and bathrooms
• Shopping for groceries and other household supplies 
• Organizing closets, toys, and kitchen shelves and cabinets
• Communicating with the family about any issues or household needs 
• Dog care, including feeding and taking him for a daily walk
• Assistance with occasional luncheon or other events- preparation and service 
• Childcare, including assisting with morning, meal, hygiene, and bedtime routines
• Engaging with the child in games and play
• Accompanying him to school and other activities
• Occasionally hosting or accompanying him to playdates 

• Experience and comfort working with preschoolers- engaging and willing to get on his level 
• Looking for a long-term commitment; the family would like to find someone to be with the family for many years 
• Proactive and able to prioritize household and childcare duties
• Meticulous and detail-oriented (the family is very conscious of cleanliness, and requires someone who is willing to sanitize household items regularly)
• Comfortable working with a very involved work-from-home mother 
• Calm, patient, and warm with children 

• Long-term experience in previous roles 
• Swimming and driving are NOT required, but would be a bonus
• Comfortable navigating the Upper East Side with a child 
• Comfortable working with and around a small friendly dog
• Willing and able to live-in M-F on Long Island during most of the summer- transportations costs will be covered 
• Basic COVID vaccine is required 

• $35/hr. 
• Metrocard
• Two weeks PTO, plus paid holidays
