Overview:

Sales Inventory Operations Planning (SIOP) Manager, remote

 

The Sales Inventory Operations Planning (SIOP) Manager, Performance Carbon is responsible for the global SIOP process to enable the Performance Carbon Global Business Unit to continually achieve synchronization across the sites and functions of the organisation, through strategic and tactical decision-making related to balancing demand and supply; aligning volume and mix with capacity and capability; and integrating financial and operating plans with strategic objectives to deliver improved operating and financial results. The most important aspects of this role are to introduce discipline and structure to the SIOP processes across the business unit, manage regular & timely communication across the organization and facilitate SIOP meetings at pre-set frequency and regularity.

 

As a member of the Operations & Supply Chain organization of the Performance Carbon Global Business Unit, you will report into the Global Supply Chain Director, Performance Carbon. The role requires strong cross-functional collaboration across our global organization, including Manufacturing, Commercial, Technology, Finance, EHS or HR functions, as well as the Operations teams of our facilities and other internal or external stakeholders outside of Performance Carbon. The role requires an especially strong collaboration with the Commercial function, by establishing an effective interface through the SIOP process globally, ultimately resulting in improvements in forecast accuracy, on-time-delivery and inventory management.

Responsibilities:

What You'll Do:

 

SIOP Process

  • Lead efforts to deploy consistent, disciplined SIOP processes across business units, sites and programs within the Division, including development and execution of SIOP training and facilitation of SIOP meetings
  • Lead the SIOP process to facilitate effective methods to create forecasts with high levels of accuracy, collaborating with key stakeholders
  • Ensure the SIOP process aligns and supports the overall business strategy and objectives
  • Facilitate all SIOP meetings, bringing together key stakeholders from sales, finance, operations, effectively capturing meeting outcomes and facilitating completion of agreed action plans
  • Create and drive continuous improvement of world-class demand planning and SIOP processes
  • Drive / facilitate Executive SIOP meetings
  • Drive continuing education and training of the SIOP process
  • Lead system integration for SIOP

Performance monitoring, reporting and optimisation

  • Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Business Dashboards
  • Monitor KPIs and dashboards to provide comprehensive portfolio reports, analytics and visibility around product supply status to all cross functional stakeholders.
  • Actively participate in various cross-portfolio initiatives including tools and system enhancements to support forecasting processes and reporting.

Demand Planning

  • Collaborate with the commercial team to consolidate and submit demand forecasts for all SKUs to the organisation on a monthly cycle.
  • Prepare and conduct executive-level presentations including demand analysis and scenarios to facilitate discussions and drive Executive Sales and Operations decisions.
  • Review forecast accuracy on a monthly basis and lead ongoing process improvement

Inventory Management

  • Identify repository of critical suppliers, establish site and program teams to mitigate risks associated with delivery and quality performance
  • Review Inventory levels and ensure periodic optimisation based on business forecast and goals
  • Monitor Inventory performance and lead corrective actions ensuring process adherence is captured

Supply Planning

  • Review Capacity Utilization Plan, Manpower plan, Material availability plan (WIP, Raw Material, Packaging), submitted by the plant(s) and challenge assumptions to bridge gap between consensus demand and product availability
  • Work closely with the production, procurement and planning teams to optimize supply plans to forecast
  • Identify and highlight supply chain risks

 

Key Performance metrics and objectives:

  • SIOP KPIs, including engagement and compliance
  • Budget variance, forecast variance, standard cost variance, variable & gross margin
  • Customer Satisfaction KPIs
  • Operational delivery performance, including OTD & Lead times
  • Working Capital KPIs, including Cash performance and stock KPIs
  • Safety and Environmental KPIs

 

Qualifications:

What You'll Bring:

  • Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent, or equivalent experience in Supply Chain Management
  • Progressive managerial experience in Supply Chain Management & SIOP process management
  • Demonstrated senior experience in performing a leadership role in a global manufacturing organization
  • Advanced systems, data and analytics interest and competencies
  • Project management experience and qualification is an advantage
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills at all levels of the organization
  • Advanced English language skills
  • Lean/Six Sigma qualification is an advantage
