About the Role

As the Marketing and Communications Project Specialist II, you will play a vital role in advancing the mission of the National Bleeding Disorders Foundation (NBDF). Under the guidance of the Director of Public Relations and Communications, you will work collaboratively across the organization and with external partners to drive the successful delivery of strategic objectives and programmatic outcomes. Your work will encompass a wide range of projects, from developing communication strategies to managing marketing campaigns, all while ensuring that our internal and external messaging aligns with NBDF's values and brand guidelines.


You will be instrumental in maintaining a consistent brand image, crafting compelling content, and supporting initiatives that make a meaningful impact on the community we serve. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a cause with purpose, creativity, and innovation.


Key Responsibilities 

Project Management

  • Effectively and proactively lead project planning and execution, reliably ensuring accurate and on-time delivery.
  • Develop project plans, efficiently analyze, track, forecast, and report on project metrics and shortfalls.
  • Report on project progress and provide regular updates to team managers.
  • Anticipate communication needs and proactively work to avoid obstacles and facilitate the implementation of solutions.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with departments to achieve project objectives collaboratively within established time frames, fostering cross-functional relationships.
  • Serve as the coordinator of the weekly Wednesday Webinar series in collaboration with the Director of Public Relations and 
  • Communications.
  • Lead team meetings, providing agendas in advance and highlighting key talking points.
  • Manage and coordinate department’s correspondence.
  • Support the onboarding process for department team members.

Content Development

  • Develop and edit content as needed to support various communication initiatives.
  • Analyze data, provide recommendations, and manage the implementation of data-driven decisions to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements

What You Bring: To qualify for this unique opportunity, our ideal candidate should have the following experience and education:

  • Minimum of 4-5 years in strategic communications within a nonprofit organization, corporation, or healthcare setting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient in multimedia platforms and project management tools. 
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, high-change environment.
  • Excellent public speaking and writing skills, with a strong ability to quickly produce and edit compelling content. Familiarity with AP style.
  • Ability to work efficiently and calmly under pressure, maintaining strong interpersonal skills.
  • Capable of working professionally in a remote work setting.
  • Experience with tools such as HIVE, Monday.com, Sprout Social, Zoom, Restream, Canva, Mailchimp, Drupal, etc., is a plus.

Where You Will Work:

This position is a remote and open to candidates located anywhere in the U.S. Applicants should be comfortable working remotely with a team dispersed across the country. This role requires some travel, typically 2-3 times a year for events outside the local area, often requiring overnight or weekend attendance. All NBDF Employees are required to attend and work at our annual Bleeding Disorders Conference.

Compensation:

We have carefully considered industry benchmarks, the experience required for this position, and internal salary comparisons to determine the appropriate salary range for this role. For this position, NBDF has set a starting base salary range $64,000-$70,000 and it is non-negotiable due to our company's commitment to maintaining internal pay equity. This approach ensures that we maintain a fair and consistent compensation structure across the organization.
