Role Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated and professional Account Executive (AE) to help grow our sales pipeline and drive new sales opportunities in the Charleston area. This role will report directly to the Sales Manager and will work closely with both sales, marketing, and operations. You will leverage your sales expertise to understand customer needs, develop tailored sales strategies, and build relationships with decision-makers across the franchise industry. Responsibilities
Qualify leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities
Contact potential customers through cold calls and emails
Present our company to potential customers
Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services
Customize product solutions to increase customer satisfaction
Build long-term trusting relationships with customers
Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
Conduct thorough needs assessment to understand customers’ business challenges and goals
Own the end-to-end sales process (initial interaction, contract negotiations, closing business, and successful handoff to our onboarding accounting team)
Effectively and independently deliver the “Done for You Accounting” value proposition
Learn and work the Ceterus sales methodology, follow the process, and integrate specific solution messaging
Consistently demonstrate a positive and professional image with all written and verbal communication
Track pipeline activity, account volume, and progress to manage workflow
Report to the Sales Manager on (weekly/monthly/quarterly) sales results
Stay up to date with new product releases/services and new pricing/payment plans
Qualifications and Skills
Experience working at a B2B SaaS start-up or in the franchise industry is a plus
Two (2) to four (4) years of experience selling software solutions to small businesses
Consistent track record of achieving quota for new customers
Background in software solutions, preferably related to financial back-office solutions
Background with solutions that outsource small business processes
Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, Salesloft)
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Ability to deliver engaging presentations
Goal-oriented, self-starter able to work with autonomy
Professional, confident, high energy, and positive attitude
High EQ with the ability to assess the motivations and needs of small business owners
Detail-oriented with problem-solving and critical thinking skills
