RESPONSIBILITIES AND ASSIGNMENTS

Most important skills are MS SQL, candidate should have 5+ years of experience working as a DBA

DBA Skills required:

• DBA with strong Skills in MSSQL is a must.
• Should be able to setup a server on their own
• Maintain and troubleshoot databases and servers
• Deploy change requests
• Perform clustering
• Amyris uses a tool called PGPOOL to perform clustering on Postgres databases
• Amyris uses a tool called SymmetricDS to perform clustering on MSSQL databases
• Troubleshoot MSSQL.
• Amyris would prefer candidates that have some knowledge of PowerBI and/or BigQuery, the expectation is that if our resources do not have these skills they are able to learn them
• DBA Candidates should be able to perform a gap analysis. One of the first tasks they will be asked to perform will be to analysis the Amyris environment and make recommendations based on best practices.
• 95% of the work done will be in PostGres. The PostGres DBA we present must be very strong. The hiring manager and current me members of the team have MSSQL skills, so our MSSQL DBA doesn’t need to be as high level as our PostGres DBA.
• Advance english level

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

The 4 positions will be split between two shifts (these are all PST):

• 1am - 10am (PST) ou 5 am – 2pm BRT

or

• 8am - 5pm(PST) ou (12 pm – 21 pm BRT)
• *if needed we can rotate resource through the shifts, or they are welcome to select a permanent shift
