We are seeking a Salesforce.com Administrator/Developer. This position can either be remote or at our corporate headquarters in Duncan, SC. The candidate must be able to work 8am–5pm Eastern Time. This position will require travel based on team and project needs, travel is estimated to be 20%.

The primary responsibility of this position is to configure, administer and develop our Salesforce.com environment. The candidate will work collaboratively with our Application Manger, Business Analyst and other Senior Systems Analysts to build business solutions within Salesforce.com.

Responsibilities

Building Solutions in Salesforce.com

  • Work collaboratively with our Application Manager, Business Analyst and Business Stakeholders to identify, document, and implement streamlined business processes by effectively leveraging the functionality and capabilities of Salesforce.com.
  • Use knowledge of best practices and functional expertise to drive change in the organization through technology and business process redesign.
  • Deal with ambiguous problems, take responsibility for finding solutions using standard Salesforce functionality and customization where appropriate.
  • Develop solutions within the Salesforce platform including but not limited to:
    • Creating new objects and page layouts.
    • Developing process builders, approval processes and flows.
    • Developing lighting record pages.
    • Developing Lightning components.
    • Developing lightning web components.
    • APEX code development.
    • Configuring managed packages as required.
    • Configuring e-mail templates.
    • Report & Dashboard configuration.
  • Create end-to-end test plan; execute the plan and manage all activities to ensure objectives are met and the solution works as expected.
  • Change management experience in creating and deploying “Change Sets” to move code/configuration changes from our test environment to production org.
  • Responsible for technical documentation including solution design and configuration changes.

Example Business Solutions

Some examples of new functionality that the candidate could work on for AFL:

  • Configure, price quote modifications and enhancements (Salesforce.com CPQ)
  • New deployments of Sales/CPQ/Service/Community Cloud to new business units/geographies.
  • Build a customer notifications platform including new channels like SMS.
  • Build new enhancements within Community Cloud such as access to commercial invoices or packing slip documents.

Salesforce.com Maintenance

  • Configure and customize Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Community applications.
  • Manage user support tickets as assigned.
  • Perform mass imports and exports of data as required.
  • Manage Salesforce security including roles, profiles, sharing rules and groups.
  • Manage operational requests and reporting including customer analysis and troubleshoot issues.
  • Keep application users informed about system functionality & enhancements.
  • Provide application users with technical support, consultation & training for the continuing development & maintenance of all Clouds.
  • Responsible for oversight of software upgrades including new functionality made available as part of Salesforce releases.
  • Ensure managed package applications are upgraded.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in either information technology, computer science, software engineering, or business management.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing organizations.
    • Specifically configure, price quote for highly technical manufactured products.
  • 2+ years’ experience of combined Salesforce.com implementation, configuration and administration.
  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience working in Sales Cloud/CPQ, Service Cloud and Communities.
  • 2+ years object configuration, validation rules, formulas, workflows, process builders, flows, approval process and organization wide setup.
  • Functional knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming principles.
  • Familiar with agile development methodologies with a focus on iterative and test-driven design methods.
  • Proven ability to research, understand, and apply knowledge of Salesforce to business needs within the organization.
  • Ability to train and provide support to business system end users.
  • Excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills to effectively support end users.
