UX Definition

User Experience Design (UXD or UX) is a design process that focuses on shaping the experience of using a product and enhancing user satisfaction with a product by improving the usability, accessibility, and pleasure provided in the interaction between the user and the product.

UX involves aspects of interaction design, usability, user research, competitive analysis, human-computer interaction (HCI), content architecture/strategy, accessibility, inclusivity.. etc

The goal of UXD is to create products that are easy to use and provide an enjoyable experience for users.

What you’ll be doing

Analyzing business objectives and user requirements
Conducting user research to understand user needs and behaviors.
Creating user personas and competitive analysis
Creating wireframes, storyboards, sitemaps, prototypes, user flows.
Designing mid-fedility wireframes that provide a positive experience for users by following industry best practices for usability and accessibility standards.
Collaborating with product owners and product management to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction and experience.
Collaborating with developers to ensure the technical feasibility of designs by creating detailed interactive prototypes.
Conducting different exercises and workshops with actual users such as user interviews, survey, card sorting, field studies, heuristic evaluation.. etc
Conducting usability testing on mock-ups or finished products to test experiences against user expectations/preferences and optimize the design accordingly.
Dealing with analytics platforms & heat-maps.
Staying up-to-date on current UX trends in order to create innovative designs that are both functional as well as aesthetically pleasing and easy to use.
Presenting your design solutions and project deliverables to clients and evaluate feedback.
