Senior Software Safety Engineer

The Autonomous Vehicles Platform team is searching for engineers to develop and bring NVIDIA's automotive platform out to the world.

You will participate in a focused effort to develop and productize ground-breaking solutions that will redefine the world of transportation and the growing field of self-driving cars. Work with hardworking and dedicated multi-functional engineering development teams across various vehicle subsystems to integrate their work into our autonomous driving DRIVE SW platform, while achieving or exceeding all significant NVIDIA and automotive standards & guidelines. You'll find the work is exciting, fun, and very substantial.

What you’ll be doing:

• Primary point of contact for all safety related concerns during development and proactively working to resolve identified issues.

• Performing safety analysis and verification activities to confirm NVIDIA designs meet applicable safety targets, and directly contribute to products’ improvements when issues are identified.

• Directly contribute to all product life cycle phases.

What we need to see:

• Bachelor’s degree (BS) (or equivalent experience) in engineering field

• 5+ years of experience in automotive or other safety relevant domains.

• Background in software or safety engineering.

• Strong modern C++ programming skills.

• Deep understanding of ISO 26262 or other functional safety standards.

• Experience working with assessors and customers in support of functional safety audits.

• Ability to self-manage, show leadership, and have good interpersonal skills.

• Excellent written, and verbal communication skills.

Ways to stand out:

• Strong CUDA and Python programming skills.

• Experience with AUTOSAR and CERT coding standards.
