Your missions

Job Summary

This role is within the Organisation’s Group CTO directorate. New products are developed to meet the needs of the members now and in the future and provide technology leadership within the organisation and to members and customers. There are several departments which make up the Group CTO directorate, and this role is within Internal IT, in the Finance Systems team.

 

This team is responsible for the Financial Systems (primarily MS D365 and SAP). In this role you will provide essential day-to-day level (2) support to the key Financial Systems, primarily, but with a strong bias towards providing functional, project and analytical expertise to; “in flight” (add-value) projects, programmes and small-medium changes. The latter working under a 2-week sprint (Agile) methodology.

Responsibilities & Duties

·        Provide a Level 2-3 support service for Jisc users for the main systems listed above.

·        Follow internal processes and standards for managing system development.

·        In support to Head of Finance Systems, provide deep business and systems knowledge to promote new ways of working, both within Finance Systems Support Team but also wider Finance Community.

·        Ensure compliance on systems by supporting; internal and external audit (e.g. logical access reviews\ ISO27001). This in the form of completing all relevant requests and ensuring no gaps remain on follow-ups.

·        Lead on system functional improvements and small to medium size projects across the core business processes of; Order to Cash (OTC), Procure to Pay (P2P), Source to Pay (STP) Record to Report (RTR).  In some cases, lead and manage the project using a combination of agile and agile \ waterfall techniques.

Essential skills, knowledge, and behaviours

·        Demonstrable experience in MS D365 F&O (SCM) functional knowledge in a Level 1.5\2 Support environment.

·        Some experience in project management, business analytical experience in Finance Systems and\or established ERP (Enterprise Resource) application system

·        Understanding of Specialist Finance Business Process mapping

·        Proven D365 Functional (Finance Process) Analytical skillset. Delivered in a hybrid Support\Project Environment also known as DevOps.

Benefits

Weekly Working Hours: 40 hours.

Work Schedule: as per UK office hours.

Salary: £ 16,000 Total for the 6 months duration.

Overtime: Allowed, subject to prior written approval of the project manager.

Computing Devices: candidate should have his/her own internet connection, computing device to execute day-to-day activities while “Work from home”.
