Job description

This is a remote position.

About the Job

As a Senior Quality Data Engineer at Aspire, you will have a strong background in data quality assurance, advanced SQL skills, and excellent communication and collaboration abilities. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can ensure the integrity and accuracy of data across various systems.

What you’ll do

Develop and implement comprehensive data quality assurance processes
Conduct data comparison and validation to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
Identify, analyze, and resolve data quality issues.
Monitor data quality metrics and perform regular audits.
Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction and analysis.
Perform performance tuning and query optimization to enhance data processing efficiency.
Create and maintain data validation scripts and tools.
Collaborate with data engineers to integrate data quality checks into ETL processes.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and ensure data quality.
Communicate data quality issues and resolutions effectively to stakeholders.
Provide data quality training and support to team members.
Document data quality processes and best practices.

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
4+ years of experience in data quality assurance, or a similar role.
Advanced proficiency in SQL, including query optimization and performance tuning.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Experience with data comparison tools and techniques.
Familiarity with data governance and data management principles.

Preferred Skills

Experience with big data technologies and cloud platforms.
Knowledge of data visualization tools and techniques.
Understanding of Agile methodologies and practices.
