Data Engineer - FMCG Data Infrastructure Specialist (Remote job)

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer with a strong background in working with Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) data. As a key member of our team, your responsibilities will revolve around designing, building, and managing data infrastructure tailored specifically to the unique needs of FMCG data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Ingestion Pipeline Development: Your daily tasks will include designing and implementing data ingestion pipelines capable of handling both batch and streaming data seamlessly. These pipelines should be versatile, supporting multiple data formats, and facilitating the smooth flow of data into our systems.

• Data Cleaning and Transformation: You will be responsible for implementing comprehensive data cleaning and transformation procedures. Your expertise in this area will ensure that our data remains accurate, consistent, and ready for advanced analytics and reporting.

• Snowflake Expertise: Experience with Snowflake is a must. Your knowledge of this cloud-based data warehousing platform will be crucial in optimizing data storage and retrieval, as well as ensuring efficient and cost-effective operations.

• Scalable Data Infrastructure: You should have a proven track record of building scalable data infrastructures. Your ability to create systems that can accommodate growing volumes of data without sacrificing performance will be a significant asset.

• Efficient Star Schema Design: Your role will involve designing and implementing efficient star schemas, a fundamental aspect of data warehousing and analytics. These schemas are pivotal in optimizing query performance and will be integral to your responsibilities.

• Performance Tuning: You will be tasked with tuning Snowflake to achieve optimal performance. This will involve fine-tuning query execution, resource allocation, and data distribution to deliver fast and efficient data processing.

Requirements

• Experience: 3 to 5 years
