Job Description

What you'll be doing

The Senior QA Automation Engineer is passionate about evolving from manual testing to automated testing for the customer-facing IVR supporting Experian's Consumer Services contact center, and an agent-facing image processing solution. You will develop, maintain, and execute automation scripts. You have experience building automated test scripts to reduce repetitive manual testing.

Reporting directly to the Technical Leader/Architect for the contact center, you will have 2 main responsibilities:

  • To test the IVR at Experian. Calls are received each day and by people all over the country and our IVR needs to offer relevant information to route a caller quickly to their intended destination.
  • To test the document imaging system at Experian. Documents are scanned, faxed, uploaded into the system, and guarantee each document is routed to the right agent and worked promptly.

Responsibilities include:

  • Independently design, develop, and deliver an automation framework for products with a quality mindset.
  • Develop test automation, create test suites, configure & orchestrate test environments/infrastructure and perform test execution
  • Transform manual processes into automated test plans.
  • Define the test strategy and metrics, develop test plans, and coordinate execution to deliver a high-quality service to our organization.
  • Be the scrum team member who delivers quality automation aligned with each sprint to support DevOps
  • Prepare test scenarios, test cases, QA stories, and acceptance criteria, aligning them with the developing stories for the product increment being delivered in the sprint
  • Understand complex systems and create relevant test plans
  • Coach others on test automation tools and coding practices
  • Collaborate with project teams to understand project architecture and our requirements to design an automation test strategy and test plans
  • Work with product owners and scrum masters to determine acceptance criteria for testing.
  • Ensure the correctness and completeness of voice applications.
  • Coordinate End-to-End testing across different product and domain teams
  • Document and Track test artifacts in appropriate applications – Jira, source-code control (test automation scripts)
  • Maintain tools used in test development, including source control, test management, and release systems
  • Maintain requirements traceability matrices.
  • Communicate any obstacles to raise awareness and avoid project impediments and overall project timeline change
  • Perform manual testing
  • Must be able to participate in an on-call rotation for periodic support as needed

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of software testing experience
  • 3+ years developing/building automation test frameworks and tools.
  • 3+ years of proven experience transforming manual testing to high efficiency automated testing.
  • Prior experience in software quality assurance technical testing in the following Voice Contact Center technologies (Voice, IVR, Call Routing, CTI, and Agent Desktop, and call routing)
  • Cyara for IVR testing is desired
  • Experience verifying the logic of the workflow and our requirements
  • Enjoys working in a faced based collaborative environment.
  • Experience testing APIs
  • Knowledge on automated testing for workflow pipelines
  • AWS or Data Dog experience is a plus
  • Proficiency in JavaScript or Python, GitHub
  • Develop technical documentation on applications and system.
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies and tools
  • Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Knowledge of testing integrations and end-to-end system processes.

Additional Information

This is a permanent home-based role in Costa Rica. No relocation available.
