The Vacancy

RSK Consents Solutions, a part of the RSK Group Ltd, is looking to recruit a Consents Surveyor to work on a full time, permanent basis. This is a remote role, with the requirement to travel UK Wide so a full UK driving licence and access to your own transport is needed.

RSK Consents Solutions is a one-stop organisation that specialises in managing the complete consents process for infrastructure and development: from route identification, feasibility studies, land assembly and land referencing through to applications requiring statutory powers, landowner negotiations and compensation. We help to navigate a project from inception to completion and aim to minimise the potential risks and delays so you can get on with what you do best. We specialise in managing and minimising the risks of potential projects by applying our years of industry experience to produce the best strategy for your goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Negotiation of wayleaves and easements with landowners for all utility consent requirements, including new water, gas, telecoms and electrical distribution apparatus
  • Meeting with landowners and arranging to undertake comprehensive photographic schedules of condition
  • Assessing and negotiating compensation claims for losses and disturbance with landowners and 3rd party agents generally relating to agricultural crop losses
  • Arranging access to sites for intrusive and non-intrusive survey works
  • Attending visits to clients and landowners on behalf of the company.
  • Full UK driving licence required as will the need for flexible working regarding type of work, timing and location


Person Specification

  • Ideally already working towards RICS qualification with a knowledge of farming and commercial communities
  • Experience/knowledge of the UK utilities industry is a requirement
  • Role relevant understanding of Electricity Act 1989 / TCPA 1990
  • Proficient in the use of HMLR systems
  • Experience of working with GIS based mapping systems
