Sales Manager, EU

GENLED Brands seeks to hire a full-time sales manager in Amsterdam. This exciting opportunity will allow the successful candidate to represent our two global brands: the LED signage lighting company AgiLight and the custom architectural LED lighting manufacturer Acolyte. This position will be responsible for creating sales opportunities and winning business across Europe from targeted sign companies, display manufacturers, specialized distributors, etc. This will require daily exchange with the company customer base to build rapport with distributor sales teams and to increase product awareness. Execution of this role involves travel, time and territory planning, on-site sales calls, introduction of new products, application consultation, operational pricing, claims management, collection and reaching sales goals. The successful candidate will receive training on GENLED Brands™ sales processes, LED technology, and AgiLight and Acolyte products. Reporting to the regional sales manager, he or she will have a proven ability to fill the sales pipeline with opportunities, grow the hit-rate across those opportunities, accurately forecast sales 3 months out, and grow the conversion rate from quotes to collections. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Break down annual business plan for development of existing accounts in line with overall company objectives. Review quarterly with management.
  • Efficiently manage time and territory to cover the customer base.
  • Maintain detailed on-going customer records through CRM software. Take ownership for accuracy of account and contact data.
  • Build a strong understanding of the applications where the company’s products provide the greatest benefit and value for the customer.
  • Track and communicate market trends, competitive offerings, operational issues, and opportunities on a global level. Exchange experiences and success stories within global sales team.
  • Provide periodic sales forecasts for assigned sales territories.
  • Develop strong relationships with the company’s customers, distribution network, specifiers and influencers.
  • Orchestrate customer interaction with Finance and Quality departments as needed.
  • Perform other tasks as directed by management.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Self-motivation, persistence, and ability to independently manage various activities
  • Strong drive to achieve business objectives
  • 3+  years working experience in sales, business development, key account management, or similar
  • Competence in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent presentation and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in English (additional languages a plus)
  • Proven track record in the signage or architectural lighting industry is a plus
  • Education in electrical engineering or electronics is a plus
  • Preferred residency in The Netherlands (company will not relocate candidate)
  • Willingness to travel in EU for sales calls, trade shows, etc.

Your Role

•Driving B2B sales in the assigned territory and building strong relationship with End-users, Lighting Specifiers, Distributors, Contractors, Display manufacturers

•Identifying and acquiring new customers, as well as up-selling to the existing customer base and establish Genled as one of their key business partners

•Effectively managing and driving the sales cycle from prospection through to successful closure

•Meeting and exceeding revenue growth targets

•Develop timely and accurate sales offer based on given customer project requirements

•Defining and executing territory sales plans while leading on commercial negotiations, ensuring we profitably grow revenues and margins

•Accurately forecasting and achieving sales targets, profitably grow revenues and margins across all opportunities

•Ensuring high quality and follow-up customer assignments and projects (trainings to partners, customer planning, presentations, solutions, project coordination)

•Responsible for presenting the product to customers and at field events such as conferences, seminars

•Understanding industry trends, product capabilities, future developments, customer requirements

•Provide market feedback on product base and competition information

  

Your Profile

•Master’s and/or bachelor's degree in business, Economics, Engineering or relevant discipline

•3+ years of experience in a sale, business development, key account management role selling B2B solutions

•Fluency in English as a must

•Proven track record and knowledge in the LED signage or LED architectural lighting industry is preferred

•Key account planning skills and focus on strategic relationship development

•Proven ability to achieve ambitious sales targets as well as understand complex sales cycles at a strategic level

•A hands-on mentality and excellent stakeholder management skills

•A positive and professional team player attitude, along with self-motivation and continued desired to achieve clearly defined goals

•Excellent communication, listening and collaboration skills next to a problem-solving mindset
