Job description

Title:  Laundry Product Planning Consultant

 

Location:  Remote – U.S., some travel to Atlanta, GA is required

 

Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Consultant of Product Planning to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in shaping our product strategy and roadmap for our laundry product line. This individual will leverage their expertise in market analysis, consumer insights, and product development to drive the success of our laundry products in the highly competitive market landscape.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  1. Market Research:
    1. Conduct market research to understand customer needs, preferences, and market trends. This may involve analyzing data, conducting surveys, and gathering feedback from customers and stakeholders.
    2. Use insights to form the product strategy and roadmap.
  2. Product Strategy:
    1. Develop a product strategy that aligns with the company's overall goals and objectives. This includes defining the product vision, target market, positioning, and differentiation strategy.
  3. Product road map Development:
    1. Create a product roadmap that outlines the key milestones, features, and enhancements planned for the product over time. This roadmap serves as a guide for the development team and helps prioritize tasks and resources.
    2. Lead cross-functional-teams engineering and design teams to define product requirements, user stories, and specifications.
    3. Prepare Business Case , including revenues, quantities, selling point, profitability, investment, ROI …
    4. Drive the development process from concept to launch, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products.
  4. Requirement Gathering:
    1. Collaborate with stakeholders, including customers, sales, marketing, and development teams, to gather and prioritize requirements for the product. This involves understanding user needs and translating them into clear and actionable specifications.
  5. Competitive Analysis:
    1. Analyze competitors' products and strategies to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. This information helps inform product decisions and differentiation strategies.
  6. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    1. Work closely with cross-functional teams, such as design, engineering, marketing, and sales, to ensure alignment and coordination throughout the product development process.
  7. Feature Prioritization:
    1. Prioritize features and enhancements based on factors such as customer value, business impact, technical feasibility, and resource constraints. This involves making trade-offs and decisions to maximize the product's value and success
  8. Launch and Go-to-Market:
    1. Develop go-to-market strategies and plans for new product launches, like messaging, pricing, and promotional activities.
    2. Partner with marketing and sales teams to drive awareness, demand generation, and sales enablement activities.
  9. Performance Monitoring:
    1. Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of appliance products.
    2. Monitor product performance, customer feedback, and market trends to identify areas for improvement and optimization.

 

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience (5 – 10 years) in product management in the Laundry Industry.
  • Strong understanding of laundry products, market dynamics, and consumer behavior.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and project management skills.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.
  • Passion for innovation, technology, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Knowledge of laundry industry trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements is a plus.
