As an Application Developer for our Reference Lab Applications team you will use your sharp knowledge and experience with JavaScript, React and Python to solve problems, find solutions and build/enhance applications that are tailored to meet specific business needs.

The Reference Lab Applications Team that you would be working on is a dynamic, small team that is uniquely positioned to respond to opportunities where enterprise-wide applications cannot provide a perfect fit. By engaging fully with end users and processes that drive application use/need, we have the ability to partner with a group and the familiarity with the data to tailor solution scope and function, and, in turn make a strong impact to the business!

In This Role

• You will design, code, test, debug and document applications based on technical configurations
• You will develop application designs to meet technical configurations, ensuring that resulting systems will operate efficiently and reliably.
• You’ll partner with the IDEXX Reference Lab business to understand the business function supported by the application to encompass within design framework, ensuring that the design integrates with other related systems.
• You would also support, update and maintain existing applications the team has already built in response to business needs, system problems or other factors.

What You Will Need to Succeed

• You have 1-3+ years of experience in application development with strong proficiency in JavaScript and Python
• Your skillset includes coding in JavaScript and Python, working with frameworks such as Django and React
• You enjoy working cross-functionally with different team members and feel comfortable working and collaborating in a team environment
• You have a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science or another IT/Technology major or applicable experience and training.
