Our mission is to take our beloved verticalized travel experience global through an all-encompassing travel platform that offers trips, experiences, and concierge services.

Position Overview: As an Event Sales Representative at Wander, you will be instrumental in expanding our emerging event business line, encouraging people to book weddings, corporate gatherings, product launches and media engagements across our growing portfolio of luxury properties. Your role will focus on identifying and securing partnerships with event planners, corporate clients, and individuals looking to host unique events in our exclusive locations. You'll be responsible for showcasing our properties' potential as event venues, negotiating contracts, and ensuring seamless coordination between clients and our operations team. You'll also partner with the rest of the marketing team as they build an inbound marketing and lead generation funnel to help you succeed. The ideal candidate for this role is entrepreneurial, goal oriented, creative and data driven in their approach to scaling this new business for us.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospecting and Outreach:

    • Identify potential clients and event opportunities through market research and networking

    • Conduct cold outreach via phone, email, and social media to generate leads

  • Sales and Relationship Building:

    • Present Wander properties as ideal event venues, highlighting their unique features and benefits

    • Develop and maintain relationships with event planners, corporate clients, and industry partners

    • Conduct property tours (virtual or in-person) to showcase event capabilities

  • Proposal Development and Negotiation:

    • Create customized event proposals tailored to client needs and budgets

    • Negotiate contracts and pricing to maximize revenue while ensuring client satisfaction

  • Event Coordination:

    • Liaise between clients and Wander's operations team to ensure smooth event execution

    • Coordinate with property managers to prepare venues for upcoming events

  • Follow-Up and Client Management:

    • Conduct post-event follow-ups to gather feedback and secure repeat business

    • Maintain a database of client information and event history in our CRM system

  • Reporting and Analysis:

    • Track sales metrics and provide regular reports on event bookings and revenue

    • Analyze market trends to identify new event hosting opportunities

Qualifications:

  • Must be US-based or work/live in PST, CST, MST, or EST

  • Must have a professional work set-up with high-speed internet and a smartphone

  • 2+ years of experience in event sales, hospitality sales, or a related field

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Strong negotiation and closing abilities

  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

  • Flexibility to occasionally work evenings and weekends as needed for client events

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, or a related field preferred
