Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

 

Under general supervision of the COO, the Operations Special Projects Manager is responsible for managing special projects that require collaboration within the various areas of clinical operations, new site development and other strategic initiatives within CMC, as well as external entities. The position will provide support to the development of solutions and monitoring of progress to time critical service and/or clinical projects that have a strategic impact on CMC. The position will require a full understanding of CMC functional areas and the ability to work across and with diverse CMC departmental leadership. Work is varied and complex, and requires a moderate degree of discretion and independent judgment.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

  • Promotes the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
  • Leads projects, bringing together key partners, customers, stakeholders and project management teams to deliver on the strategic and tactical objectives within our exciting and evolving growth portfolio.
  • Oversees specific assigned projects, ensuring time, resources, scope and completion are managed and monitored to meet project requirements, taking into account current best practices, changes in evolving health care and use of technologies, and community, patient and staff needs.
  • Identifies, secures and manages, oversees or assists with the identification, securing and management of internal and external project resources. Coordinates team/project activities and schedules.
  • Develops, implements and maintains, or oversees the development, implementation and maintenance of the appropriate and required data, records, reports, and other documentation.
  • Serves as the key liaison for the projects and ensures leadership for the project from management to implementation and evaluation.

Leads special projects as identified by leadership, including but not limited to:  New services and program creation, New business model concept experimentation and testing for further organization investment, Through superior project management skills, support complex health system expansion activities, Operations process improvement, Referral management,  Prescription refills, Pharmacy projects, Closing provider encounters, Centralized clinic support staff recruitment pool, Data Analysis/Tracking

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 3 years of related project management, healthcare, and/or practice management/clinical operations experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English commensurate with college level education.
  • Valid California Driver's License, proof of insurance, and personal transportation
  • Knowledge and use of electronic health record systems, electronic population management systems, Microsoft Office Suite and virtual meeting platforms.

  • Knowledge and skills in group dynamics, interpersonal relationships and supervisory techniques
  • Strong collaboration skills, including, but not limited to the ability to create and foster a collaborative work environment, and organize people and resources to solve problems and identify opportunities.
  • Knowledge of the principles and best practices of project management, including, but not limited to project life cycle, scope definition and management, planning and scheduling, monitoring, communication cycles, project team and risk management.
  • Ability to speak and be understood in English.
  • Ability to treat confidential information with appropriate discretion.
  • Holds self and others accountable to meet commitments.
  • This is a challenging role that relies on your ability to effectively lead project teams and build relationships with stakeholders. Your ability to use various methodologies and tools to collaborate in a cross-matrix environment will drive long term success keeping the team on track within the project scope and timeline
  • Secures and deploys resources effectively and efficiently; organizes people and resources to solve problems and identify opportunities.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service to both patients, members, family members and co-workers

  • Knowledge of managed care contracting language, requirements, and methods to support the development and maintenance of contract compliance, contract language review and contract analysis.

 

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

 

May require sitting for long periods of time.  Occasional bending, stretching, or lifting.  Requires frequent walking and standing for prolonged periods of time.  May require lifting and carrying items that weigh up to 35 pounds.  Vision must be correctable to 20/40 and hearing must be in the normal range for telephone contacts.   Requires the ability to work under stressful conditions. 

 

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

 

Clinic and office environment with occasional work performed at other agencies.  Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations and other conditions common to a clinic environment. If working remotely, sufficient internet connectivity will be required.
