Reporting to the Head of Sales, IDT (Identification Technologies, part of HID) for India & ME, the Business Development and Inside Sales Manager is tasked with spearheading the growth of IDT’s sales pipeline and providing dedicated support to our esteemed customers in the India and Middle East regions. The ideal candidate will play a central role in driving regional expansion for IDT and acting as the primary liaison for customer interactions. The candidate will work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless and efficient communication with customers.

Key responsibilities include identifying fresh sales targets, nurturing leads from our website and marketing endeavors, and launching innovative sales initiatives. Furthermore, the position entails managing customer orders, encompassing order processing, production oversight, acknowledgment, shipment tracking, and invoice management.

As our BusinessDevelopment and Inside Sales Manager, you'll support the success of IDT in India & ME throught:

Business Development

  • Lead generation, customer mapping, client presentations, presales activities, client demos & POCs, negotiation, sales conversion & lead closures.

  • Manage a portfolio of high-value accounts, consistently meeting and exceeding quarterly revenue targets.

  • Identifying, qualifying, and securing business opportunities, coordinating business generation activities, and developing targeted sales strategies.

  • Qualify prospects by meeting customers to unearth the requirement and to position right products and solutions.

  • Maintaining knowledge of all products and services offered by the company to provide adequate solutions to the respective clients.

  • Collaborating with sales and leadership for weekly reviews.

  • Developing and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with key clients, resulting in high client retention.

  • Conducting regular account reviews and identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities

  • Cold-calling potential clients & forecast accurately and maintain sales reports as needed.

  • Understanding client needs and offering best-in-class solutions to support them.

  • Tender/Contract preparation & submission, attending Pre-Post tender/ contract negotiations.

  • Collaborating with management on sales goals, planning, and forecasting them basis short- term and long-term business development plans.

  • Creating and maintaining a database of prospective clients and regularly updating Salesforce CRM.

  • Representing company in EXPO events and creating informative presentations for client meetings, industry exhibits, trade shows and conferences.

  • Working with company engineering and Product teams to design & develop solutions for competing in the market.

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely delivery of products and services, enhancing overall client experience.

  • Following proper process for order execution and meeting customer expectations on deliveries (including checking inventory to ensure orders are in stock).

 

Inside Sales

  • Follow up on leads from marketing campaigns to progress into qualified opportunities.

  • Daily contact with Customers: reviewing stock level, backlog, open orders, etc.

  • Following up with Customers who have not recently ordered products checking products purchased and current availability.

  • Managing the sample request process.

  • Contact assigned customers to review their needs and negotiate orders when possible.

  • Work with sales management to grow the regional pipeline and sales revenue within the region.

  • At least 4-8 years of experience with direct Sales team.

  • College degree, ideally in business administration or engineering.

  • B2B sales experience. 

  • Experience in customer services or related positions.
