Mortgage Loan Closer

We are actively seeking driven and detail-oriented mortgage professionals to join our team and support our rapid growth. Initially remote, this position will transition to an in-office role based in San Antonio, Texas.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, enter, and verify data using our software platform.
  • Review executed loan documents for completeness and accuracy.
  • Coordinate and review third-party deliverables related to loan closing and funding.
  • Collaborate with escrow to review and refine settlement statements for accuracy.
  • Manage funding and disbursement follow-ups.
  • Track pre-funding conditions up to loan disbursement.
  • Facilitate communication between borrowers, internal stakeholders, and third parties throughout the loan closing process.
  • Ensure timely completion of loan settlements.
  • Manage post-closing tasks including securing recorded security instruments, final settlement statements, and title policies.
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and gain expertise in our product offerings.
  • Assist with credit reviews, background checks, and retrieval of third-party documents to support underwriting processes.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in loan funding, closing, and/or loan processing.
  • Expertise in business-purpose mortgage lending with a minimum of 2 years' experience.
  • Ability to assess third-party property valuations using established criteria.
  • Proficiency in reviewing loan document packages, settlement statements, and coordinating closings.
  • Familiarity with underwriting processes for borrowing entities, including review of formation documents, credit histories, cash reserves, and backgrounds of individual sponsors/guarantors.
  • Knowledge of loan settlement and funding procedures.
