Buyer/Planner -- Remote | WFH

As a Buyer/Planner in our team, you play a crucial role in ensuring our Delivery Solutions are always well-equipped to delight our customers. Your day-to-day involves forging strong supplier relationships, negotiating terms, and ensuring timely delivery of materials. You'll collaborate closely with various teams, including Sales, Engineering, and Quality, to keep our operations running smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

Procurement Mastery:

Source and select suppliers based on quality, reliability, and value.

Negotiate pricing, lead times, and delivery schedules to optimize outcomes.

Issue and manage purchase orders, ensuring seamless supply chain operations.

Inventory Wizardry

Monitor and adjust inventory levels to minimize costs while meeting demand.

Implement strategies for efficient inventory management and storage.

Collaborate with warehouse teams to maintain accurate stock records.

Supplier Relationships

Cultivate strong partnerships with suppliers to enhance service levels and reliability.

Conduct regular performance reviews to address quality and delivery issues.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize supplier performance.

Collaboration Champion

Work closely with cross-functional teams (Sales, Engineering, Quality) to support production schedules and resolve material-related issues.

Coordinate with Finance for timely payment processing to suppliers.

Participate in strategic projects and provide procurement insights to support business goals.

Cost Efficiency Guru

Identify opportunities for cost savings and implement effective measures.

Monitor and report on key procurement metrics to track savings and supplier performance.

Assist in decision-making processes regarding product allocations among suppliers.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree preferred.

Prior experience in manufacturing or procurement is advantageous.

Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.

Strong negotiation and communication skills.

Proficiency in MS Office suite, particularly Excel.
