(Health & Wellness Pharmacy Technology)

Our Health and Wellness Pharmacy Technology team is part of Walmart Global Tech. We are a group of engineers and software leaders. We build technology to connect and enable our pharmacy associates with our patients, both online and in store.  We use cutting-edge technology and have a blend of in-store and cloud-based approaches to best serve our customers.  We are continually modernizing the footprint of 4600+ pharmacies to reduce friction in our Health & Wellness environments and experiences.

What you'll do:

• Your responsibilities include programming, conducting unit tests, and developing high-performing, scalable applications that cater to the requirements of Walmart H&W apps.

• You are expected to be more intellectually curious engineer who is passionate about domain/technology in general.

What you'll bring:

• 3-5 years of experience, with at least 3 years focused on Backend engineering platform development.

• Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot framework, including Multithreading, Data Structures, Algorithms, and Design Patterns, with a focus on developing robust, high-performance, and scalable applications.

• Development experience in Java 8 or above, lamda functions and related technologies.

• Strong in writing modular and testable code and test cases (unit, functional and integration) using frameworks like JUnit, Mockito, and Mock MVC

• Solid understanding of service-oriented architecture, microservices, design patterns, and distributed/cloud computing concepts.

• CI/CD development environments/tools: Git, Maven, Jenkins.

• Experienced in monitoring and alerting tools like Prometheus, Splunk, and other related systems and excellent in debugging and troubleshooting issues.

• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative team player.

• A continuous drive to explore, improve, enhance, automate, and optimize systems and tools.

• Strong computer science fundamentals in data structures and algorithms

• Derive and implement non-functional requirements based on interactions with the product and business elements.

• Analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues on time.

Technical Skills:

• Languages – Java/J2EE, Spring boot

• Micro Services Architecture, Event-Driven Architectures

• Distributed Computing, Large scale Databases- Cassandra, Mongo DB, Cosmos

• Cloud – Azure or GCP

• Messaging Queues - Kafka, RabbitMQ
