Job Description:

Location: (3 Days In the Office: Portland, Maine and 2 Days Remote)

  • Job Type: Full-time

Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00-4:30pm or 8:30-5:00pm.

The opportunity: 

The Customer Support Technician team is responsible for supporting both the Customer Account Representative (CAR) and New Business Representative(NBR) roles.

How you will contribute: 

The essential functions and responsibilities of this job position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of incoming and outgoing mail, incoming faxes, and copy projects etc.
  • Order departmental supplies
  • Manage all end of day tasks including collating all letters and bills, matching forms and checking for quality
  • Manage billing create and distribution process
  • Process customer inquiries such as cancelling insurance coverages, name changes, beneficiary changes, address changes, simple premium payment reconciliation and insurance certificate reprints
  • Coordinate service inboxes assigning incoming emails to Customer Service team members for processing
  • In office point-of-contact for physical mailing oversight (remove items from mailing as needed)
  • In office point-of-contact for matching checks and letters to be sent together
  • Handling/resolving returned mail

  • ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide administrative support to management as needed
  • Complete special projects as assigned
  • Create and edit customer communications
  • Create and maintain job aids for areas of accountability

What you will bring with you: 

  • Customer service experience within a business setting
  • Ability to work independently and also within a team environment
  • Proficiency with Outlook and Word
  • Familiarity with Excel desired
