Job Title: Telehealth Virtual Assistant

As a Telehealth Virtual Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional administrative support to our telehealth services. Your primary duties will include insurance verification, medical authorization, eligibility process, medical billing, call routing, scheduling, and updating patient records

Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits through phone calls or online portals
  • Obtain medical authorizations and obtain necessary documentation from patients
  • Process eligibility and verify patient information in our electronic medical record (EMR) system
  • Perform medical billing tasks, including submitting claims and following up on denied claims
  • Answer and direct phone calls to the appropriate healthcare provider or team member
  • Schedule appointments and ensure that all necessary information is completed before the appointment
  • Update patient records in the EMR system with accurate and timely information
  • Respond to patient questions and concerns in a professional and courteous manner
  • Ensure that all patient appointments are confirmed and scheduled correctly
  • Call and confirm appointments with patients to ensure that they are aware of their upcoming appointment and to answer any questions they may have
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
  • Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems and medical billing software
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Strong organizational and time management skill
  • Bilingual: Spanish and English
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in a telehealth or healthcare setting
  • Knowledge of insurance billing and coding procedures
  • Familiarity with EMR systems and medical billing software
