Supply Chain Developer

Purpose:

This position is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting capabilities and features for Supply chain solutions especially in Distribution Management /Warehouse management systems and Supply-Chain Reporting related applications. 

The Senior Developer will have a good mix of both software development and operational experience with reporting (Cognos , Power BI) , integration tools(Web methods, Microservices/APIs), monitoring and alerting, logging, building, testing & deployment.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
• 5+ years of development experience required.
• Experience with Manhattan Associates Supply Chain platform(WMOS or WM Active) and/or reporting solutions (SCI/BI) with backend development and configuration knowledge.
• Experience with SQL (oracle) or Azure/Google MySQL cloud technology is a plus
• Experience with Reporting tools (Cognos, Power BI).
• Experience in any automation testing tools is a plus
• Experience in Cloud technologies (Google/Azure) is a plus
• Programming languages/protocols skills/knowledge (Java , Microservices ,postman, API, Java, Python, Shell script) .
• Identifies risks and issues and escalates as necessary. Research and document recommendation or solutions for upgrades, improvements, issue resolution to ensure a stable, available and protected technical infrastructure and application.
• Provides technical support of WMS system(s) or reporting for WMS systems. Serves as primary source for tier2/ tier 3 technical advice, guidance to F&D Warehouse distribution management operations by using Manhattan WMS systems and components.
• Responsible for the full software development lifecycle for enhancements and fixes including design, development, unit testing, system testing and change management with supervision.
• Manage/troubleshoot user issues and ticketing system related to application problems
• Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket
• CI/CD usage experience is plus, preferably using Jenkins pipelines.
• Experience with at least one DB platform: Oracle or MySQL.
• Demonstrated proficiency with one or more technology environments with the ability to learn and apply new and emerging concepts quickly
• Ability to work on multiple "open" projects concurrently while in various stages of development, testing and approval processes
• Strong decision-making, problem solving and data analysis skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment
• Work with end users to define business requirements for new projects as well as supporting existing processes.
• Develop leadership skills to navigate project execution through all phases of the standard software development lifecycle.

Working Conditions (travel & environment)

• Travel may be required including air and car travel
• The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet to moderate.

PHYSICAL/SENSORY    REQUIREMENTS

Sedentary Work – Ability to exert 10 - 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.  Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
