Position Summary:

The Practice Administrator will be responsible for assisting with operational and administrative processes,
develop quality assurance benchmarks, assist in the growth of business initiatives, development and success of strategic issues, and assist to ensure operative objectives are in accord with Access TeleCare’s overall needs. A successful applicant will act as an information resource and ambassador to patients, physicians, and staff.

Description of Duties/Essential Functions:

  • Partners with physician leaders to identify strategic and operational opportunities and execute plans
  • Acts as internal, interdepartmental program representative as well as liaison for external agencies
  • Tracks and ensures program readiness for successful new site launches
  • Develops budgets for, evaluates, and presents operational and financial performance of programs
  • Hires, trains, and coaches clinical and administrative program staff
  • Manage daily staffing to ensure optimal operation
  • Creates and implements operational and financial improvement plans as needed
  • Leads and/or engages in internal, interdepartmental process improvement activities
  • Monitors health and patient care practices for compliance in health regulations
  • Keep informed of trends in practice administration and healthcare regulations
  • Assist with business planning and the improvement of administrative processes
  • Additional duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities: 

  • Clinical Program Coordinator, Supervisors, etc. 

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration or related field
  • At least 5 years’ experience in practice administration, a combination of inpatient and outpatient medicine preferred
  • Proficiency in electronic practice and health record management systems

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office programs
  • Proficient interpersonal communication skills and the ability to exercise empathy when working with hospital partners, and physicians and patients
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrate an understanding of standard clinical procedures, laws and regulations
  • Ability to work independently, but function as part of a team

Work Environment:

  • High growth fast paced organization
  • 100% Remote based environment 
  • Occasional (2-4 times per year) travel to Dallas HQ as needed
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
