Software API Developer

• Complete work assignments and support business-specific projects by applying expertise in your subject area, coordinating resources, and collaborating cross-functionally.
• Promote self-development and learning in others by sharing information, resources, advice, and expertise with coworkers and customers.
• Leverage DEVOPS, Waterfall, and Agile practices to design, develop, and deliver resilient, secure, multi-channel, high-volume, high-transaction, on/off-premise, cloud-based solutions.
• Provide insights and recommendations for technical solutions that meet design and functional needs.
• Translate business requirements and functional specifications into program designs, code modules, stable application systems, and software solutions.
• Lead systems incident support and troubleshooting for complex issues.
• Support component integration testing (CIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT) by providing triage, attending test team meetings, and performing fixes and unit testing.
• Build and maintain trusting relationships with internal customers and third-party vendors.
• Review and validate technical specifications and documentation.
• Collaborate with architects and software consultants to ensure functional specifications are converted into flexible, scalable, and maintainable solution designs.
• Provide implementation and post-implementation support for business software solutions.
• Develop and execute unit testing to identify application errors and ensure software solutions meet functional specifications.
• Mentor and train other technical resources to develop software applications.
• Develop, configure, or modify integrated business and enterprise application solutions using programming languages.
• Participate in all software development lifecycle phases, applying and sharing knowledge of methodologies, policies, standards, and controls.
• Assist with project estimation throughout the PLC.
• Develop and maintain specialist knowledge of database concepts, object and data modeling techniques, and design principles.

• Minimum of three (3) years of experience working on projects involving the implementation of solutions applying development life cycles (e.g., SDLC) in Java or Python.
• Minimum of one (1) year in a technical leadership role with or without direct reports.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field, with a minimum of six (6) years of experience in software development or a related field. Equivalent work experience may substitute for the degree requirement.
• This role may require up to 10% travel.
