ANR - DevOps Expert III - CMP

Alaska Northstar Resources (ANR) is now seeking a DevOps Expert III to join our industry-leading, cloud computing team for a long-term program. This is a fully remote role, but the candidate must be willing to travel to a USAF base to obtain a SIPR token. This should be a one-time trip for the candidate. 

The duties and responsibilities are below, but not limited to: 

• Builds, scripts, tests, and deploys Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and cloud native API commands via automation/orchestration using tools such as JSON, Ansible, DSL, Python, Jenkins, Chef, and Terraform.  
• Writes IaC for both cloud native service deployment and for hosted application deployment to cloud services (Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure Kubernetes Services).  
• Provides cloud service expertise to cloud-deployed applications, assisting application developers with integrating application-specific components into available cloud services.  
• Prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of laC when necessary, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of laC intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.  
• Works within Agile SDLC framework to include performing work activity within two- to three-week sprints, participating in daily scrums, and utilizing sprint tracking software to track and communicate individual work activity to stakeholders. 
• Familiar with Cloud One Infrastructure. 

• Candidate must a have bachelor's degree in a technical domain/field of study 
• Candidate must be a US citizen.
• Candidate must have a minimum of an active DoD Top Secret Security clearance.

Candidate must have 10 years’ experience with the following: 

• Azure (which may be augmented by Data Center-centric application management, infrastructure, and operations) 
• DevOps 
• IaC/CaC 
• Cloud Service Expertise 
• Kubernetes 

Desired Skills, Knowledge, Abilities 

• Experience with Azure GovCloud 
• Preferred certification: DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II 
• Experience in migrating applications to Azure GovCloud 
• Azure Certification (e.g., AZ-400, AZ-305) 
• Microservices Architecture 

Work Environment

Office environment. Requires ability to provide clear, concise, accurate and timely communication, both verbally and in writing (100%). Requires ability to interact professionally with co-workers, management, and client (100%). Occasional business travel may be required. Only requested and approved expenses will be covered by ANR.
