The Opportunity:

Cyber threats are everywhere, and the constantly evolving nature of these threats can make understanding them seem overwhelming to our Navy clients. In all of this “cyber noise,” how can these organizations understand their risks and how to mitigate them? The answer is you. We need your knowledge as an information security risk specialist to help break down complex threats into manageable plans of action.  

As an information security risk specialist on our team, you’ll assist our Navy clients with discovering their cyber risks, understanding applicable policies, and developing a mitigation plan. You’ll gather technical, environmental, and personnel details from system owners to help with the assessment of the entire threat landscape. You’ll learn how to guide your client through a plan of action with presentations, white papers, and milestones and help to translate security concepts so they can make the best decisions to secure their operational assets.

You Have: 

• Experience leveraging JIRA to track project tasks and progress

• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel pivot tables, and Microsoft Office Suite products, such as Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook

• Ability to configure and manage network firewalls, and configure and manage Symantec anti-virus client software 

• Ability to obtain a security clearance

• Associate's degree in Information Technology

Nice If You Have: 

• Experience with C6ISR Military systems and architectures

• Knowledge of DoD Information Systems, policies and security protection requirements

• Ability to scan tactical systems and platforms for cyber vulnerabilities using industry standard tools, such as Nessus 

• Secret clearance

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity

• CompTIA Security +
