What you will be doing

The Portfolio Management Business Analyst will report directly to the Director, Portfolio Management Strategic Initiatives and play a crucial role in supporting and executing multiple high-priority initiatives within the US Pharma and Animal Health Portfolio Management Community of Practice. This role will involve actively participating in the implementation of tools and processes related to deal-making and contracting across various USPAH Business Units. The primary focus will be on enhancing speed and quality in the go-to-market approach, with an aim to improve customer satisfaction and win rates.

  • Key Contributor to Deal and Contracting Initiatives: Perform deal Triage. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on initiatives aimed at improving the deal and contracting processes across USPAH business units. Focus on enhancing speed-to-market while ensuring alignment with customer needs.
  • Manage Portfolio Management Initiatives: Assist in guiding, and contributing to Portfolio Management initiatives throughout their lifecycle, including the hyper-care phase.
  • Partner with Cross-functional Teams: Ensure effective communication. Work closely with the Portfolio Management Leads, Commercial Excellence team, finance, legal, business leaders, and other stakeholders to identify projects based on business needs and timelines. Support the implementation of process improvements by conducting training sessions for end-users.
  • Stay Informed about Industry Trends: Stay updated on industry-wide trends related to pharmacy reimbursement and apply this knowledge to contribute towards effective go-to-market pricing strategies.
  • Execute Strategic Initiatives:  With support from the Director, Portfolio Management Strategic Initiatives address the implementation of ongoing priorities. Develop performance metrics, utilizing dashboards, and reports to track key portfolio management KPIs.
  • Perform Assigned Duties: Undertake any additional duties as assigned by the portfolio management leadership team.

What your background should look like 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience and education in fields such as business administration, data science, finance, accounting, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations.

  • Requires a minimum of three (3) years of progressive responsibility in the areas of sales, support and/or operations; and demonstrated ability to effectively support medium to large-scale projects.

  • Experience working with Salesforce.

  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise independent judgment in complex environments.

  • Excellent collaboration skills necessary for navigating across various internal departments.

  • Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail.

  • Strong analytical mindset for evaluating business problems and proposing suitable solutions.

  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal.

  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau, with potential knowledge of analytical tools like SQL preferred.
