CMG Digital Experience Team Leader

RSM’s Communications Marketing and Growth (CMG) team is a unified team of marketing, communications, research market insights and sales professionals who work together in alignment with the RSM business leaders to advance the RSM brand and culture, extend connectivity with RSM clients and support overall firm growth initiatives. The CMG Digital Experience Leader will articulate the CMG digital strategy and accelerate CMG’s selection and adoption of digital solutions to realize operating efficiencies, enhance and reflect client/prospect understanding, and drive revenue growth. In collaboration with CMG executive leadership, enterprise digital and IT, and other stakeholder groups, oversee and garner support for the approval, prioritization, development and delivery of digital and related support infrastructure and platforms to achieve CMG and enterprise goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Marketing, sales and communications (MARCOM) digital solutions oversight and prioritization

  • Establish and have responsibility for an integrated marketing, sales, research and communications technology platform aligned with CMG and enterprise goals
  • Manage the collective, integrated marketing, sales, research and communications technology solutions roadmap
  • Build a CMG digital experience organization that operates at the intersection of program execution with efficiency and focus while also advising and directing the CMG organization on how to embrace new technologies and digital processes for the future.
  • Partner with RSM counterparts to develop and manage a resourcing strategy that leverages IT, finance, talent analytics, LOB and / or innovation resources as appropriate, to address CMG and joint CMG/enterprise needs
  • Leverage knowledge of the firm and team’s capabilities to effectively meet CMG and enterprise needs related to CMG areas of responsibility
  • Assesses situations quickly and precisely to determine priorities, focus areas and issues requiring escalation

Strategic CMG digital transformation oversight – liaise with digital experience, IT, and CMG stakeholders and leaders to:

  • Ensure consistent, efficient, reliable CMG digital platform and advanced analytics technology solutions
  • Offer innovative solutions designed to provide efficiencies and enhance our ability to deliver on our growth, relationship development, sales, market insight and communications goals
  • Represent CMG in firm technology and technology-enabled innovation initiatives – including as a participant on the Firm Digital Integration Group (DIG)
  • Manage delivery of existing multi-year CMG digital transformation technology roadmap to enable fully interconnected CMG digital platforms, including appropriate connectivity to enterprise and CMG data strategy/architecture
  • Ensure appropriate technical training and support for CMG team members to foster overall technology adoption
  • Provide strategic leadership, partnering with CMG leadership and other stakeholders to address CMG technology needs
  • Serve as a critical point of alignment with RSM’s digital experience and IT teams to ensure a common understanding of collective goals/needs to make sure CMG efforts are aligned with firm strategic digital and technology areas of focus and to continue to develop a collaborative relationship between our teams
  • Leverage technical subject matter expertise along with knowledge of marketing, sales and communication and CMG and enterprise goals to apply critical thinking to prioritization and strategy considerations

Oversee and manage the CMG digital platform collaborating with digital experience, IT, CMG leadership and other CMG/business stakeholders to:

  • Develop and refine an evergreen CMG digital roadmap, drive business cases for specific short and long-term related initiatives and harvest benefits of those initiatives
  • With understanding of CMG and business goals, research and recommend new marketing, analytics, communication and sales digital products
  • Develop and oversee technology vendor relationships including negotiations in collaboration with procurement
  • Drive roadmap development and execution for core enterprise platforms managed through CMG – most notably, RSM’s enterprise CRM system of record
  • Develop and lead a team that performs functional business analysis for CMG use cases – contribute to definition and review of business requirements, processes and configuration standards

QUALIFICATIONS

                                          

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS

  • Technical Degree preferred. BA or BS in Technology, Math, Engineering, management information systems, computer science
  • Advanced degree or leadership certificates encouraged
  • Some education, or equivalent working experience, in marketing strategy, growth and targeting solutions.

TECHNICAL/SOFT SKILLS

Required qualifications

  • Strong experience in MS Office suite
  • Experience with Adobe Experience Cloud and other marketing technologies
  • Ability to assess, enhance and document business processes
  • Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) processes and best practices including software distribution
  • Demonstrated competency in identifying business opportunities  to leverage technology

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with innovation initiatives or software implementation
  • Leadership role in developing and overseeing solutions specific to the MARCOM tech stack including CRM, client portals, web platform and demand generation systems
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and translate business opportunities into technical strategies.
  • Practical experience implementing and/or applying agile/scaled agile development frameworks

                                          

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 10+ years relevant work experience required
  • Prefer prior management experience working within a highly matrixed and complex organization
  • Demonstrated success in leading CMG digital functions and teams

  • Proven ability to lead diverse teams and affect organizational change
  • Must exhibit an exceptional client service attitude, possess outstanding people skills and take a proactive approach in working with employees
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering digital experiences through modern marketing/demand generation technology platforms
  • Very high standard of attention to detail throughout all their work
  • Demonstrates and adapts strong communication skills for differing audiences and situations
  • Desire and willingness to work in a collaborative, innovative, and team-oriented environment
  • Leadership oversight for components of multiple, complex projects
  • Ability to lead and mentor a team including delegation, review and feedback
  • Strong interpersonal skills plus a pro-active approach to finding solutions to issues and managing priorities
  • Self-motivated approach to follow up on job assignments and focus area duties
  • Ability to exercise professional and technical discretion on matters of significance
  • Ability to work and lead efficiently with remote team members

Compensation Range: $193,500 - $343,200

Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
