Job Description

The Enablement & Solution Consulting team’s mission is to enable action from insight. We are responsible for ensuring customers understand the value and practical application of EcoVadis solutions, so that they can progress on their sustainable procurement journey. We are also responsible for increasing the effectiveness of all Frontline roles (Sales, Customer Success and Services of Engagement) via high adoption of new skills, tools & processes, and of solutions & regulation expertise.

A Solution Consultant at EcoVadis acts as a trusted advisor to our customers along this journey. The Solution Consultant function provides sustainability knowledge and solution expertise throughout the sales cycle and full customer relationship by engaging customers in multiple ways, including understanding their needs and requirements and aligning them with the EcoVadis solution suite, developing proof of concepts, demonstrating solution capabilities, providing subject matter expertise during prospect and customer calls and specifying deliverables when providing additional services that support solution implementation.

This transversal role is pivotal to the sales process and customer experience, requiring coordination with multiple colleagues across various teams, including Sales Executives, Account Managers, Revenue Operations, Sustainability Analysts, Marketing, IT and Solutions teams

The successful candidate will possess a passion for critical thinking about sustainability, understand the latest sustainability regulations and trends, and be eager to learn in detail how EcoVadis solutions and services enable companies to tackle sustainability challenges in their value chains.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Sales and Account Management teams to identify customer and prospect challenges and requirements, ensuring alignment with the capabilities of EcoVadis’ solution suite
  • Prepare high quality solution demonstrations and answer prospects’ and customers’ functional and technical questions
  • Respond to tenders/questionnaires - provide formal and written responses on EcoVadis solution capabilities as part of the overall RFx process
  • Continuously support frontline teams, prospects and customers to better understand EcoVadis solution capabilities in relation to their sustainability priorities and program expectations
  • Facilitate and deliver training to frontline teams on sustainability topics and solutions
  • Provide feedback by relaying solution enhancements and future roadmap requirements to Product, New Solutions and Rating Methodology teams, acting as an advocate for prospect and customer needs to the business, intensifying issues quickly
  • Work with large clients to develop and deliver additional services when specific sustainability expertise is required to support customer programs

Qualifications
  • Subject matter expertise in sustainability, including GHG Emissions, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I), and regulatory and reporting trends
  • Adaptability is key: the ability to navigate a fast-growing organization and take a flexible approach in the dynamic, fast moving field of sustainability, ESG and sustainable procurement
  • 2-3 years experience in a related position
  • Open minded, curious and enthusiastic
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are key, as well as the ability to efficiently design high-quality presentations
  • Critical reasoning skills in order to identify problems and provide solutions quickly
  • Analytical, organized, detail oriented and disciplined. The ability to learn quickly while being comfortable with juggling multiple tasks is key
  • Ability and strong desire to work within a team, to collaborate and to build relationships is absolutely essential
  • Knowledge of competitive sustainable procurement and sustainability solutions
  • Client-facing experience, especially collaborating with sales and account managers to drive business
  • Experience operating in a software solution environment is a significant plus
  • Master’s degree is a plus
  • Additional languages (e.g. Spanish, Portuguese) are a plus
