We are looking for a confident, motivated, bright individual to help us demonstrate and differentiate our Longview Tax and Transfer Pricing solutions to our prospects as a Senior Solutions Engineer. You bring strong probing, problem solving & consultative skills to the team, with an enthusiasm for tax, technology and innovation. You can work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Our Solutions Engineer is responsible for supporting the specific sales region(s) and their associated sales and prospecting activities. This is a full-time position, which has reporting responsibilities to the Director, Presales & Strategic Partnerships.

The Role:

  • Attend and proactively question (using pertinent, open-ended questions) prospects during the discovery calls to uncover specific business issues, desired business outcomes as well as to identify the “burning platform” of why now.
  • Develop a good understanding of the key differentiators of our solutions and be conversant on relevant Longview customer stories, specifically how they use our solutions to solve their business issues, including articulating quantifiable outcomes and successes.
  • Utilise your ability as a storyteller to ‘connect the dots’ for prospects in terms of understanding how the Longview solutions will enable them to solve their specific business problems by demonstrating relevant capabilities of the solutions and illustrating how existing customers have solved their business problem and driven tangible and quantifiable business results.
  • Understand the specific marketing initiatives and campaigns occurring within your assigned region to support the development of specific customised product demonstrations.
  • Bring innovative approaches and ideas to increasing the win rate within your region.
  • Meet and exceed pre-set quarterly and annual sales targets within your region
  • Experience handling a broad range of prospect demonstrations and interactions on a daily and weekly basis.

Qualifications
  • Have a general understanding of finance and accounting principles
  • Have a solid understanding of direct taxation principles (tax reporting, pillar 2 and operational transfer pricing)
  • Ability to understand and communicate complex technology and value propositions
  • Experience working and implementing EPM or single-point technology solutions in the area of direct taxation, either within a Tax Service Provider, finance/tax department or for a software vendor, with the determination and aptitude to understand the fundamentals of a new solution and hit the ground running (experience with SQL database techniques and/or some coding is a plus)
  • Must be a self-starter with a willingness to ‘do what it takes” to meet & exceed goals
  • Possess high energy, maintain a persistent growth mind-set, enthusiasm, and be extremely goal oriented
  • Possess a professional business manner with an ability to identify, connect and build relationships
  • Strong project management: ability to organise and prioritise work independently, with minimal supervision
  • Ideally, proven pre-sales/solution engineering experience; targeting and demonstrating software solutions to large, multinational organisations
  • Able to connect with decision makers and be comfortable presenting to mid-level and C level executives in the Tax function.
