Job Description: The Marketing Business Support Analyst participates in the day-to-day business support and analyses related to sales, profitability, pricing, and market share for Procedural and Surgical Solutions; Global Products in support of the Sr Director of Marketing.  Functions include but are not limited to: the development and generation of insightful models relevant to category/segment/customer sales, forecast, profitability and pricing.  Manages and designs analytical models in responses to RFPs/RFQs, product and customer promotions.  Supports business case development through complex modeling and market analysis.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Supports the day-to-day assigned category business.

  • Analyzes and provides key insights on trends including, but not limited to, customer pipeline, wins, losses and monthly/quarterly sales volume. Design and develop reports and dashboards exhibiting sales trends and analysis that aid in decision making and storytelling.

  • Provides day-to-day support and analytical expertise in designing and managing complex product portfolio pricing strategies based on our marketing and sales business objectives and cost drivers. Formulates pricing recommendations.

  • Develops and maintains models that analyze margins by product/segment/customer.

  • Analyzes and provides key insights on product and customer pricing; supports the dimensioning and management of pricing strategy.

  • Manages analysis for RFPs/RFQs and new business opportunities.

  • Partners with the pricing and contract team to manage customer data.

  • Analyzes and tracks market share data for the category and key category segments.

  • Analyzes and manages sales tracings data to deliver meaningful insights on customer and segment purchase activity.

  • Supports product promotion modeling.

  • Supports business case development through complex modeling and market analysis

  • Works with large volumes of data from multiple systems. Strong ability to develop key insights and to communicate findings to senior leaders in a coherent manner. Possesses critical thinking skills combined with a robust sense of curiosity

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Education Requirements:
 

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Economics, Finance, or Marketing; MBA preferred

  • At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in Business Support, Pricing, Commercial Finance, and/or in Sales Support Operations and/or in Supplier or Category Management

  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills; demonstratable advanced-level knowledge in Microsoft Excel (modeling/analysis/dashboard creation) and Power BI.  Certifications preferred.

  • Ability to independently solve business problems using analytics and data science

  • Track record of integration with or support of marketing driven organizations

  • Highly organized and process-oriented; strong attention to detail and takes pride in outputs

  • Ability to respond quickly to requests and independently prioritize tasks under pressure
