Senior Tax Analyst

About the Role:
Pango has an exciting new role for a fully remote Senior Tax analyst to oversee the company’s direct and indirect tax filings, forecasting, statutory registration, and global tax research. The ideal candidate must possess qualities, such as sales and use tax, VAT, nexus study, tax audits and tax filing and provision preparation with exceptional self-management skills. Role will work with revenue and expense team. The role is accountable for tax filings, maintenance of global compliance calendar for tax reports and filing system. The position will report to the Director of Accounting. This role will be instrumental in transition and transformation of the company tax and compliance.

Day to day:
● Preparation of documents for federal tax returns for tax consultants. Estimate of tax payments and withholdings
● Assist with ASC 740 for US income tax provision. Preparation of documents for tax disclosures and tax uncertain tax position for financial statement purposes
● Calculate global effective tax rates and manage VAT filings. Posting of tax related entries in Workday.
● Global cash tax forecast while working with FP&A
● Research technical matters for tax credits and support federal /state tax queries
● Ensure timely processing of electronic, manual filings of tax returns, payments
● Prepare sales and use tax returns and support the revenue team on customer tax related matters
● Assist ad-hoc projects as necessary. Participate in workday implementation for tax reporting
● Identify areas to improve efficiency in tax and compliance reporting including use of technology
● Serve as a liaison between the Company and tax consultants to coordinate scope of the global tax returns
● Assist in determining current and deferred tax assets and liabilities for the company

What you bring to the table:
● bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. CPA preferred
● 3-6 years of complex tax with a national accounting firm or multinational corporate tax team
● Ability to deal with and manage uncertainty (transition, transformation and growth)
● Experience with tax software and ERP systems; Workday and Avalara preferred
● Strong knowledge of indirect tax

Pay range for this position is $73,500 - $105,000 on-target earnings per year but may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
