Your missions

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Accountant I with our client in the insurance industry based in Milwaukee, WI. This role will work 100% remotely through 2025.

The accountant is to perform transactional accounting for field offices and will work in JD Edwards processing vouchers, entering journal entries, processing commissions, and period closing reconciliations every month. They will also be involved in payroll, 1099 processing, training of new contractors, maintaining relationships with offices assigned and office-specific accounting projects. This role supports the client's field Offices across the country.

Must be able to commit to the role for at least a year. Training typically takes 2+ months. There may be possibilities on the team for employee transition.

Our team of accountants performs day-to-day transactional accounting, AP, commission processing, and period closing. Working from the Milwaukee Home Office, our team performs the accounting role for the field offices nationwide.

What are the required skills for this role?
  • It is necessary to know how to do journal entries(credits/debits), understand accounting principles, and have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • The candidate has to be technology savvy and know how to work with: Excel: Ability to maintain and manipulate a worksheet accurately. Outlook: Email and calendaring.
  • They should have formal accounting education.
  • This role will have frequent communication with the client's field offices. Professional communication and proper grammar is required.
  • The candidate has to be able to organize and prioritize their task while working in a dynamic environment.
What will be the work schedule?
The work schedule is 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, or 8:00 am to 4:30 pm with a half of hour break for lunch. The schedule can be flexible with appropriate cover and notice.

Compensation is $21.00 - 25.00 per hour.
