What is the role?

  • Reviews and processes documents to file liens on vehicle and HELOC loans to ensure Credit Union’s liens are perfected and it is protected in the event of bankruptcy or an insurance claim against the collateral.
  • Process releases of liens on titles and Deeds of Trust.
  • Filing and terminating UCC statements with the State and related counties.
  • Responsible for performing research on vehicle title issues and provides other departments feedback on errors which prohibit securing collateral.
  • Provides a variety of support services for consumer loans including: payoff request, due date changes, moving loans to new accounts and other member servicing requests.
  • Submitting GAP, warranty, debt protection and collateral protection claims to CUNA to collect coverage benefits.
  • Submitting GAP, warranty, and debt protection cancellations and applying the refunds to the appropriate accounts.
  • Following up on automotive total loss cases.
  • Responds to general inquiries in relation to loans such as titling, loan documents, Deeds of Trust and other research and miscellaneous information from member and front staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What am I bringing? 

Experience/Education:
  • Entry Level - 0-1 year experience in customer service.
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience required.
  • Understanding of vehicle title and Deed of Trust documents and processing preferred.
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations pertaining to titles and Deeds of Trust preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite or equivalent
  • Exhibits strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to Learn and demonstrate that learning on the job
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Must maintain high-level of confidentiality
  • Accountable for basic short-term tasks and work is primarily routine and follows standard procedures.
  • Uses basic judgement under close supervision or instruction
  • Understanding of procedures for basic technical, administrative, or operative tasks.
What is the work environment like, and are there physical requirements for this role?
  • Flexible, dispersed team environment both on Westerra campus and remote
  • Works primarily at desk
  • No travel between Westerra locations required
  • No physical requirements

Salary: the starting hourly rate is $20 per hour, and this role is eligible for Westerra’s self-funding reward plan. This plan pays out a cash incentive annually if the company hits specific criteria tied to our financial goals and you will have a direct impact on the outcome of those results!
